Estudiantes del Liceo Nueva Toledo del Peñón en nuestra estación de Fragata de FIDAES a conocer del cultivo de mejillones/ Students from Nueva Toledo del Peñón High School to our FIDAES Fragate station to learn about mussel cultivation [ESP/ENG]
Previo a esta visita a nuestra estación Fragata de la Fundación para la Investigación y Desarrollo de la Acuicultura de Estado Sucre estuve exactamente una semana antes en el Liceo Nueva Toledo donde di una presentación para introducirlos al cultivo de mejillones y por eso esta vez quien llevo la batuta en esta visita guiada fué el colega Licenciado en Biología Lisandro Riera, tambien personal de FIDAES. Yo esta vez me encargué de solo intevenir de ser oportuno y siento todo se dió de manera exitosa.
Prior to this visit to our Fragata station of the Foundation for Research and Development of Aquaculture of the State of Sucre I was exactly one week before at the Nueva Toledo secondary school where I gave a presentation to introduce them to mussel farming and so this one who took the baton in this guided tour was the colleague with a degree in Biology Lisandro Riera, also FIDAES staff. This time I was only in charge of intervening in a timely manner and I feel that everything went well.
Hola gente de la comunidad de HIVE SUCRE por acá @eudarcabello y esta vez para contarles esta visita guiada de los estudiantes del Liceo Nueva Toledo del Peñon a las estación de Fragata de FIDAES a conocer el cultivo de mejillones, inicialmente tuvieron una introducción más teórica y parecieron interesados y ahora con este pequeño recorrido y ver los cultivos mas de cerca se ven súper emocionados con la parte práctica.
Hello people of the HIVE SUCRE community here @eudarcabello and this time to tell you about this guided visit of the students of Nueva Toledo del Peñon high school to the FIDAES frigate station to learn about mussel farming, initially they had a more theoretical introduction and seemed interested and now with this small tour and see the crops more closely they are super excited about the practical part.
Para el día que me dirigí al liceo si estaban los 7 alumnos, 3 representante, su profesor y parte de la directiva del liceo, ya para esta primera visita guiada estuvieron los 7 estudiantes y solo una representante, tampoco estuvo el profesor o parte de la directiva, al final la represente no se subió al bote, solo los estudiantes y la representante vió desde la estación y tomando fotos a lo largo de la guía en la estación. Los estudiantes ya se veían interesados desde el fia que hice la presentación en PowerPoint, pero definitivamente quedaron fascinados tanto con la estructura de la estación, ya que aun no se adecua del todo, lo que si es que la infraestructura es genial, con la playa bellísima y por supuesto con los cultivos que alli tenemos.
For the day I went to the high school if there were the 7 students, 3 representative, their teacher and part of the board of the high school, and for this first guided tour were the 7 students and only a representative, neither was the teacher or part of the board, in the end the representative did not get on the boat, only the students and the representative saw from the station and taking pictures along the guide at the station. The students were already interested since the day I made the PowerPoint presentation, but they were definitely fascinated with the structure of the station, since it is not yet fully adapted, but the infrastructure is great, with the beautiful beach and of course with the crops that we have there.
El Licenciado Riera estuvo más que todo se encargó de mostrarle la estación y lo que se tiene planeado sea el resultado final, ya que en su mayoria está es la infraestructura, vieron en vivo y ahora no solo por PowerPoint lo que son las ristras donde se cultivan los mejillones, los distintos sistemas que si el circular y la long line, una ristras con los mejillones pequeño se extrajo por un momento asi tocaran y vieran o tomaran fotos, tanto los 7 alumnos, el licenciado Riera, un trabajador del municipio Bolivar y yo en nuestra pequeña embarcación, donde esta nervioso ya que el bote muchas veces no parecía estar distribuido bien el peso y aunque todos sabemos nadar, llevabamos nuestros teléfonos y por eso mi preocupación.
Mr. Riera was mostly in charge of showing them the station and what is planned to be the final result, since most of it is the infrastructure, they saw live and now not only by PowerPoint what are the strings where the mussels are cultivated, the different systems that if the circular and the long line, a string with small mussels was extracted for a moment so they could touch and see or take pictures, both the 7 students, Mr. Riera, a worker of the municipality Bolivar and I in our small boat, where he is nervous because the boat often did not seem to be well distributed weight and although we all know how to swim, we carried our phones and that's why my concern.
Yo si fuí modo playero y el Licenciado Riera se cambió en la estación, lo mismo que el trabajador del municipio Bolivar quien fué el que mayormente remó el bote. Los estudiantes parece que llevaron cambio para entrar al agua, pero ninguno se cambió y al final nadie se bañó en la playa, aunque todos queriamos, pero sinceramente todos preferimos regresar temprano a casa y quedamos que para la próxima si disfrutariamos de esa linda playa.
I did go beach mode and Licenciado Riera changed at the station, as did the worker from the municipality of Bolivar who was the one who mostly rowed the boat. The students seemed to take change to go in the water, but none of them changed and in the end nobody went swimming on the beach, although we all wanted to, but honestly we all preferred to go back home early and we agreed that next time we would enjoy that beautiful beach.
Ya quieren aprender que si la elaboración de las ristras donde se cultivan los mejillones y hacer su siembra, que este les servirá para su consumo, pero capaz lo más importante es que les servirá para su proyecto de final de curso, donde la directora de FIDAES junto con el licenciado que estuvo guiando la visita guiada serviran como tutores, se supone que igual yo, pero apenas me gradué el año pasado y entro a la institución en marzo y antes de acá en mi pre grado mi fuerte eran las plantas terrestres y no queria nada que ver con la biología marina, por lo que prefiero servir de apoyo y no ser tutor principal.
They already want to learn about the elaboration of the strings where the mussels are cultivated and how to plant them, that this will be useful for their consumption, but maybe the most important thing is that it will be useful for their end of course project, where the director of FIDAES together with the graduate who was guiding the guided tour will serve as tutors, I am supposed to be the same, but I just graduated last year and I entered the institution in March and before here in my undergrad my forte was terrestrial plants and I didn't want anything to do with marine biology, so I prefer to serve as a support and not as a main tutor.
He hecho post anteriormente sobre mi trabajo en FIDAES que si la cosecha y venta de mejillones, la participación del semillero científico para las escuelas y ahora para estudiantes finalizando su bachillerato donde tambien serviremos como tutores en sus proyectos con cultivo de mejillones, lo que ya no publiqué al ver que no les fué tan bien a mis últimos posts a esta comunidad la presentaciones a comunidades y dos de ellas ya estan cultivando mejillones en acuerdo con nuestra institución, otra cosa que considero súper importantes es el webinar para dar a conocer nuestra institución a nivel nacional y hasta internacional con la Asociación Venezolana de Acuicultores y todas las presentaciones en cuanto a PowerPoint me han tocado hacerlas y en su mayoria hasta presentarlas, para el caso del Webinar si estuvo el presidente y la directora quienes expusieron y nuestra directora tambien para una de las comunidad fué quien presentó lo que hice rn PowerPoint. De irle bien a este post de seguro traeré más contenido de este tema, porque creanme que vienen cosas buenas y con suerte hasta se involucren con HIVE y hasta acepte HBD como pago a buestros productos.
I have previously made posts about my work in FIDAES that if the harvest and sale of mussels, the participation of the scientific seedbed for schools and now for students finishing their high school where we also serve as tutors in their projects with mussel farming, what I did not publish to see that they did not do so well to my last posts to this community presentations to communities and two of them are already cultivating mussels in agreement with our institution, Another thing that I consider super important is the webinar to publicize our institution nationally and even internationally with the Venezuelan Association of Aquaculturists and all presentations in terms of PowerPoint I have had to make them and mostly to present them, for the case of the Webinar if the president and the director who presented and our director also for one of the community was who presented what I did in PowerPoint. If this post goes well I will surely bring more content on this topic, because believe me good things are coming and hopefully even get involved with HIVE and even accept HBD as payment for our products.
