A short ride on the street on a rainy day was always event full. Mine has something special to it. As I was getting pass my village I saw a group of people assembled in middle of the road. It was tough to get pass them until you discover the reason. So out of curiosity I get down to enquire.
Normally, on a rainy day such sighting is common in my village. They like do fishing on those flowing rainy water. Many fish get to the road through the flowing water from the nearby water reservoir or pond. But this time the reason is different. It was the nature disaster that causing problem.
Half of the road caved in due to options rainfall in our. The portion that caved is an important one as it is the main road that connects the village to the city, which is 15KM away. But looking the huge hole on the road, I would expect life would be disrupted for many.
The size of the hole it is big enough that it won't allow any 4-wheeler to cross by. Only a little portion is left and that only allow a 2-wheeler. But driving with heavy load is dangerous too.
The cemented road is an important connecting road to the city. It has farming fields on both side. That make it quite picruresheque too. But the rain has caused huge damaged to it and it supposed to be closed to avoid any risk of life at night or during day time as well.
We have so much rain in last couple of days that entire road was flooded. Those free flowing water is responsible for our road destruction. Looking at the huge hole, I assume it may take few day to mend in. And that too after we get relive from the rain. Here are the dangerous status of the road cave in.
This is just a glimpse of nature's power and how it can destroy anything so easily. The free flowing water has enough to make hole from the cemented road and destroy other thing as well. I just pray that the condition won't deteriorate more and get better sooner.
