Phenomenon Fog Gives San Francisco The Best Natural Blanketed Experience

The best view from Mount Tamalpais is when San Francisco is Foggy and you hike to the peak for the most spectacular scenery of San Francisco shyly hiding under the fog. It's a million dollar view but certainly may frustrate local people who lives there.
It's common in San Francisco seeing rolling fog waves all over bay area during the summer, that's because the wind pushing the water on the surface then the deep sea cold water rise up to replace the water that has pushed away. According to this https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/upwelling.html that process is called Upwelling

San Francisco's view from Mount Tamalpais.

Well our destination was actually to hike to one of the waterfalls, but I had to stop for this remarkable awe. Although the one we went was dried out waterfall and only a small water was flowing down the rocks. Imagine in Mount Tamalpais alone there are 46 trails with at least 8 waterfalls to hike and amazingly, they're all within 30 miles radius. We will not run out of places to enjoy nature.
If you want to hike or just enjoy and hang out at the beach, there are many beaches on the Pacific Ocean along Redwood Highway, which is the main highway to get to the Mount Tamalpais.
