Dear Hiver Friends!

The weather is still very cold this morning, in Ramadan, I often take advantage of the time in the morning to find a comfortable atmosphere with nature and panoramas in my city. And today I visited one of the hills which is known to have a history in my city.

Nging Ji'oh Park is one of the hilly areas in my city that offers a panoramic view of the beauty of the offshore and is one of the best spots to enjoy Sunrise in the morning.

This area is located about 3 kilometers from my house, and the road conditions are also paved, although it is a bit of a hike. So I don't need to travel far to visit an area that is known to be frequented by travelers who want to see a beautiful panorama of the city coast of Lhokseumawe, Aceh-Indonesia.

This morning I used a motorbike to go to the area, in less than 15 minutes I arrived at the location. But unfortunately the weather was not friendly this morning, a thin cloud covered the eastern and Sunrise was not visible clearly.

Even though I was a little disappointed with the situation I tried to take several pictures with different spots. From here I can clearly see the oil refinery that was victorious in my province 30 years ago; PT Arun NGL.Co. A company that manages Aceh's natural gas in the past and is exported abroad.

But that was in the past, 30 years ago. In fact, my city was once dubbed the "Petro Dollar" city because of its abundant natural gas and a source of foreign exchange for the Indonesian state.

Some of the ex PT Arun infrastructure is now managed by Pertamina (a state-owned oil company). Through its subsidiary company it is now named Perta Arun Gas (Pertagas). This oil refinery no longer performs natural gas refining, all the infrastructure is used to process gas brought in from outside Aceh which is then re-funneled via underground pipelines to Belawan, North Sumatra.

I took some pictures of the infrastructure of the former PT Arun refinery, one of the things I like is the port which is still magnificent with a depth that can be traversed by tankers like before.

Even though I didn't get Sunrise while hiking this morning, I felt that some of the pictures I documented became memories of the grandeur of my city in the past. Now, CCH Community friends, that's a little story on my hiking today in a hilly area called "Nging Ji'oh" Hill, which means that from this hill we can see far off the coast and the surrounding area. I hope my friends enjoy it.
