Enjoy Sunrise Vibes and Visit Ulee Lheue Beach in Banda Aceh
Last week I had the opportunity to visit the provincial capital of Aceh, Indonesia. The city of Banda Aceh is about 165 kilometers from the city where I live. I left at midnight and arrived there before dawn, the road trip took me about 5 hours.
The travel time is quite normal, moreover the road conditions in my province can be said to be quite good. The infrastructure after the special autonomy fund has changed drastically after the conflict between the rebels and the government. If 20 years ago it took up to 9 hours to arrive in the capital, now it only takes 4-5 hours.
As soon as I arrived in the city of Banda Aceh in the early morning, I went straight to Ulee Lheue, one of the urban harbor centers in the city of Banda Aceh.
From there, we can see the beautiful sunrise against the backdrop of Mount Seulawah Agam (one of the most famous mountains) in our province. Even the name of the mountain was pinned by Ir. Soekarno (the first president of Indonesia) for the names of the first and second Indonesian airplanes, namely; Seulawah RI 001 and Seulawah RI 002.
That morning the sun looked beautiful in the city of Banda Aceh, the red sky welcoming the morning became more obvious. Even the weather is quite cool, the Indian Ocean breeze is felt here.
I captured a number of pictures there, including the activities of fishermen who are about to go to sea. There are also anglers who use the Ulee Lheue estuary as a fishing paradise. The bridge that connects the area becomes a fishing dock for residents. Not infrequently their hooks get fresh fish to take home.
Even during the pandemic, I can say that I have visited Banda Aceh many times, there have been at least 8 trips to the capital in the last two years.
