I continue to share the places I visited during my trip to Rize, which I attended for vocational training. The place we will visit today is the Ottoman Stone Arch Bridge, which is among the 13 magnificent bridges in Turkey.

When you went to Rize, I visited this historical bridge, which is known as the famous Taşköprü, when a tour was organized. We had a very enjoyable time while we were on the road with our friends in this beautiful trip that I attended with my colleagues. We continued our journey by singing songs accompanied by folk songs.
Rize'ye gittiğinizde ünlü Taşköprü olarak geçen bu tarihi köprüyü tur gezisi düzenlendiği zaman gezip gördüm. Meslektaşlarımla birlikte katılmış olduğum bu güzel gezide yine yolda arkadaşlarımızla birlikte giderken Çok keyifli vakit geçirdik. Türküler eşliğinde şarkılar söyleyerek yolculuğumuza devam ettik.
Our tour captain told us some information about this historical bridge. As far as I can remember, the other name of this historical bridge, which was built by the Ottomans and used as a passageway today, is Timsivat Bridge. Our tour captain told us that this bridge was built by the Ottomans in the 19th century, that this bridge, located on Fırtınaderesi, connects Hoşdere village and Köprüköy, it was built using cut stones and rubble stone piles, and it consists of two arches, one big and one small.
Bu tarihi köprü hakkında bize tur kaptanımız bize bazı bilgiler anlattı. Aklımda kaldığı kadarıyla Osmanlılar tarafından yapılan ve günümüzde geçiş yolu olarak kullanılan bu tarihi köprünün diğer adı Timsivat köprüsü olarak geçiyormuş. Tur kaptanımız bize bu köprünün 19. yüzyıl'da Osmanlılar tarafından yapıldığını, fırtınaderesi üzerinde bulunan bu köprünün Hoşdere köyü ile köprüköyü birbirine bağladığını, kesme taşlar ve moloz taş yığınları kullanılarak yapıldığını, bir büyük bir küçük iki kemerden oluştuğunu anlattı.
Together with my colleagues, we immediately started to tour the bridge. Everyone was taking pictures on the bridge and enjoying the moment. Of course, I did not neglect to take a lot of pictures. 🤗 It is said that thousands of tourists visit this historical Stone Bridge every year to see it.
Meslektaşlarım ile birlikte hemen köprüyü gezmeye başladık. Herkes köprüde resimler çektirip anın tadını çıkarıyordu. Tabii ki ben de bol bol resim çekmeyi ihmal etmedim. 🤗 Bu tarihi Taşköprüyü görmek için her yıl binlerce turistin ziyaret ettiğinden bahsediliyor.
When we visited here, the weather was cloudy and misty, and the stones were quite slippery because it was raining and snowing. Short stone barriers were built on both sides of the bridge. It is currently used as a pedestrian crossing. Since the weather was rainy, the water in the creek was running very muddy and muddy.
