Camping Club Hive Contest Week #3. Jerusalem, Calvary, Jesus Christ and the Wailing Wall.

Is this the very moment when you stand in front of the temple and do not know what is inside?

Jerusalem and the famous Western Wall. The Golden Dome is visible behind the wall.

And this is the same mountain Golgotha, where Jesus Christ was crucified...

4.jpg

Here at Calvary I lit and set a candle in front of the crucifixion, remembering all my loved ones...

5.jpg

And this my friend and I have already left the temple of all religions and decided to take a photo.

6.jpg

Downstairs in the temple itself there are also such places where anyone can put a candle...

7.jpg

And this is me going up from the Western Wall, where there are a lot of people all day...

I walk along the narrow and old streets of Jerusalem, where everything is so interesting.

This is the stone on which Jesus Christ was laid when they took Him down from the Cross.

Bethlehem - in the temple, where there was once a manger, in which Jesus Christ was born.

12.jpg

He touched the silver star in Bethlehem with his hand. It was here that Jesus Christ was born. They say that this should be done, and why I don't know? But I did it, like all people who come here.

WORLD OF TRAVEL. WE ARE IN HOLY LAND. JERUSALEM, ISRAEL.

Summer and it all started with the desire, where to go on a trip? So much so that you can relax and see something interesting, attractive and historically significant. At first we thought to go to Turkey or Greece, then we thought about Italy, but we were already there, but we wanted something new. I invited my friends to consider Cyprus for travel. It surprised them, but what is interesting there? I said that from Cyprus we can organize a boat trip by sea to Israel and, if desired, also to Egypt. Friends immediately liked this and we began to prepare for this big trip to another part of the world - to the Holy Land. Thus began our new direction for travel and adventure.

Travel to the ends of the world or visit Jerusalem, Israel. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, a city in the Middle East. Located on a plateau in the Judean Mountains at the watershed between the Mediterranean and the Dead Seas, at an altitude of 650-840 meters above sea level. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot, dry summers and mild, humid winters. The city was founded (approximately) in the fourth millennium BC, making it one of the oldest cities in the world. Throughout its history, Jerusalem was destroyed 2 times, besieged 23 times, attacked 52 times and conquered 44 times. This is the story! And I wanted to see all this.

One day my friends and work partners and I decided to visit the Holy Land so unexpectedly - to go to Jerusalem and Bethlehem. During these years it was already possible to move freely to any country in the world, without any restrictions. It made me happy! We bought vouchers in advance, but the flight was only from Moscow at that time - travel agencies had not yet sent them either from Chelyabinsk or from Yekaterinburg. It was necessary to fly only through the capital. Although all these difficulties did not frighten us, since the adventures began immediately after we left home.

The trip across the three seas was interesting in itself, since it was all for us for the first time. It took us nothing at all to get ready, and in the evening we already went to Chelyabinsk to fly to Moscow in two hours. From the Sheremetyevo airport, we flew just as quickly and safely to Tel Aviv, and then we got to Jerusalem by bus. Our planned goal was achieved, on the very first day we visited the temple where Mount Golgotha is located, on which Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross! It was very interesting.

So. Summing up this journey across the seas and oceans. We made good use of our short time on a ton of excursions. We visited the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where the very Golgotha is. This is where Jesus Christ was crucified! Then we visited Bethlehem, where Jesus Christ was born! And, in fact, they touched Eternity by visiting the temple (basilica) of the Nativity of Christ. Everything is so ancient there. These places many times passed from hand to hand, then to the Jews, then to the Romans, then to the Muslims. But all the peoples and soldiers honored the shrines, did not destroy the Church of the Nativity of Christ.

Although before that there were moments when some destroyed, while others restored everything again. In this temple there is a whole iconostasis, donated by the Russian tsars, together with icons and lamps. Then we had excursions around Tel Aviv, went to Haifa, saw the seaport. On this trip, we still did not know that soon we would come to this city on a huge motor ship. But that was all later, and now we were staring with amazement at the city under the palm trees, at the port with large ships and at the wonderful sea. This was the end of our weekly excursion and we flew home. The impressions have remained indelible to this day! Such was this fascinating journey to the Holy Land, where History is kept in every stone.
