Dear Italian language lovers
I had been teaching Italian for many years until I stopped teaching towards the end of 2012.
I'm new to online teaching but I will transfer my knowledge of teaching on a one-to-one and small-group basis to an online audience.
Although when I used to teach Italian, I would use the so-called communicative approach in my lessons, I will use here in my posts a grammar-translation approach so it will be different.
This means that if you wish to improve your reading skills, you will need to read Italian books. I'm not going to suggest any book in particular right now but of course, you can find so many websites online where you can read in Italian.
When it comes to improving your listening skills, you will find plenty of Italian movies with subtitles in English on YouTube.
You will need to find a few Italian friends or meet up with some Italian speakers if you wish to improve your speaking skills.
This is not an Italian language course and I will not teach you how to speak Italian.
Ideally, this and future posts are aimed at those Italian language lovers who already know at least basic Italian but would like to revise the Italian grammar structures.
