The Colourful Falling Leaves

The Fall is here. Today is the last day of September. October is always considered a sweater month when we enjoy the breezy weather with a cup of coffee and warm sweater. We family ( my wife and I) ) would visit various parks in the city to enjoy the changing colours until last year. It is not that easy to follow our annual ritual due to the pandemic. We always avoid public transit to make sure we are as isolated as we can be. What an irony for social creatures like us.

It's not October yet but we kick-started our park-lurking as a family (with the KID).

The leaves are pretty much green but we can see some species starting to change colour. It is fascinating to witness the nature moving on its own course while we humans scrambled to continue through the year isolating ourselves.

As we all know there are some species that remain unchanged throughout the year despite the change in temperature. They also are resistant to the Fall wind which is pretty high in Toronto. May be a sign to portray the very nature ingrained in each living individual to ensure diversity. Some of us are like that, resilient and tough.

The trails are the best. This is my running route and I absolutely love this small woody space in the park. It feels like I am inside a jungle outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. This place is 5 minutes from a busy residential area and is yet so quiet. Well, what would I do without these spaces?

Mr Kid is super enthusiastic and is keen on walking everywhere he goes. Human nature- we are so happy about new skills we learn we tend to flaunt it too much. It is cute with kids but the tendency to show off is there until the kids are adults (look at me :))

Lil kid is safely tucked away by the momma bear to share a lesson or two on why the Fall is the best season to walk around and enjoy the changing colour.
