#marketfriday was initiated by @dswigle. It's all about someplace, it could be a market or anything that interesting for the readers. I would love to go to beautiful places but you know not good these days. That's why most of the images were captured during my visitation of placed that are new to me. Sometimes it's market-related but sometimes it's not. But Denise said it's fine since it's interesting to learn traditions and cultures around the globe.
Today's market Friday post will first start to a mall. I've been to the mall lately because it's near our training centre. It's easy to go if I need something that couldn't find in small stores.
When I first came into this mall I haven't seen these small stores in the middle. Why do they put these vegetables and fruits vendors inside if from the first place they have their market. I'm not sure why but as you see it now it's kind of attraction for me. I don't know for other customers if they felt the same as me.
Although the number of vendors was limited and space was given as well. I think 5 or 6 were there, not sure because I didn't walk through. If you will see the texture and the colours of the product from far. You will be caught and wanted to buy it because it looked fresh.
It's beautiful to see them because of the lights as well. But the prices of the products will be higher compared to the outside. The tax or the rent in the mall is expensive so it's normal to raise the prices of products as well.
Now let's go to the cemetery. Did you do this kind of tradition as well about celebrating the day for the souls? Ah, "all souls day" if you didn't know. It's like a holiday in the Philippines that all of us will visit the graveyard of our love ones. We offered food, drink in their graves, flowers, prayers, candles and sometimes we will stay for a bit. We will have a one-sided conversation like talking to them even though they will not answer because they already died. That's the reason there will be vendors outside the cemetery in time like this.
They will be selling flowers and candles right outside the cemetery. They knew that there are people who are busy in their job and just want to visit for a short time. That's why they will buy candles and flowers in the cemetery even though it's quite expensive compared to the normal prize.
These vendors here didn't pay any taxes or rent. That's why many of them are selling here. Though it's a bit hassle because they will call you and force you. It's fine for those who didn't bring any in visiting graves.
