Education is very important in all aspects of life, and I don't mean just academic education. I speak of that education that we must acquire from childhood, in our homes. For me the fundamental pillar of everything is respect for the others. If we don't respect other people, any other type of education is unworthy. Imagine being an excellent doctor who mistreats his patients? It wouldn't make sense to me.
La educación es muy importante en todos los aspectos de la vida, y no me refiero a solo la educación académica. Hablo de esa educación que debemos adquirir desde niños, en nuestras casas. Para mí el pilar fundamental de todo es el respeto por el prójimo. Si no respetamos a las demás personas, cualquier otro tipo de educación queda desmerecida. ¿Imagínense ser un médico excelente que maltrata a sus pacientes? Para mí no tendría sentido.

Regarding academic education, it's also important in life, although I personally think that the educational system is a bit outdated. There are different types of intelligence and sometimes the school makes you believe that if, for example, you aren't good at math, you are not intelligent. Probably a child who isn't good with numbers could be an excellent pianist or a good actor. That's why it's the task of parents to support their children and identify their weaknesses and strengths, guiding us on the path of the education they must receive in order to be happy.
Con respecto a la educación académica, también es importante en la vida, aunque personalmente pienso que el sistema educativo está un poco obsoleto. Hay distintos tipos de inteligencia y a veces la escuela te hace creer que si, por ejemplo, no eres bueno en matemáticas, no eres inteligente. Probablemente un niño que no sea muy bueno con los números podría ser un excelente pianista o un buen actor. Por eso es tarea de los padres apoyar a sus hijos e identificar sus debilidades y fortalezas, guiándonos en el camino de la educación que deben recibir para ser felices.

In a more extended aspect, I want to mention the educational system of my country. In Argentina, general education is free at all levels: kindergarten, elementary school, secondary school, tertiary school and university studies. Anyone can access education for free. Of course there is also private education, but the existence of free education is one of the things that makes my country great and I'm proud of that. Today I'm a Food Engineer and it's thanks to free public education. If I had to pay for it, I'm not sure I could have done it, or at least not so fast. I will always be grateful for this great opportunity.
En un aspecto extendido, quiero mencionar el sistema educativo de mi país. En Argentina, la educación general es gratuita en todos los niveles: jardín de infantes, escuela primaria, escuela secundaria, escuela terciaria y estudios universitarios. Cualquier persona puede acceder a la educación de manera gratuita. Por supuesto también existe la educación privada, pero la existencia de la educación gratuita es una de las cosas que hace grande a mi país y estoy orgullosa por eso. Hoy estoy titulada de Ingeniera en Alimentos y es gracias a la educación pública y gratuita. Si hubiese tenido que pagar por ella, no estoy segura de haber podido hacerlo, o por lo menos no tan rápido. Siempre estaré agradecida por esta gran oportunidad.
