Morning Sonnet

I am dragging this morning,
Outside is gray and drear.

I seem to have no yearning,
No direction toward which to steer.

Why should I sally forth from my bed?
What goal should I set to achieve?

'Tis but a notion I have instead,
To nap a bit longer before I leave.

But forsooth! My life grows no longer,
So I think I should not sleep my allotment away.

My hope grows ever stronger,
That our worlds condition will not stay.

Leave off all the strife, let love fill your life.
Be filled with peace and share it along the way.
