"Home in your Heart" a poem

Edited Ybor City, Tampa, United States drewcoffman100882.jpg

Home is where the heart is, it is
Where you hang your hat.
Home is where they have to take you in,
Even if you’ve been a brat.

Home isn’t a building,
It’s a state of mind
You carry your home around with you,
It’s with you all the time.

The building of your past,
Might in a Shambles be, by
Keeping the good memories intact, it
Remains for you decay free.

Love is your Home, Hope is the
Furniture upon which you Rest.
Take each day in stride, knowing you
Are never far from your nest.

You can allow visitors into your home,
But it forever remains yours alone.
If you live on the street or in the Woods,
You are only Homeless if you abandon what is good

The love in your Heart will warm you when
You are cold,
Bringing you Comfort,
Even when you are
Old.

That comfort will fill your home
With peace, the
Home in your
Heart.
