WEEKEND RENOVATING THE LAUNDRY ROOM

We had a problem with the dryer Last week, after 10 year of loyal service he ( or is a dryer a she ? ) didn’t dry our clean laundry anymore, the door slipped some condensation during the drying process, and the wash took so long to dry it became expensive and it got smelly in the end.

With a household of 4, and 2 living in a dorm mum has wash for six. So we need these two white beauties bad!

Not really bad smell but old socks smell. I hate that because I am happy when the clothes and the house smell like wash detergent. I even sometimes put a pan on the stove with liquid detergent for the smell, really works like a charm. I called a service company and asked them the rate for a visit and repair. That was 250 euro and that is without spare parts. I talked to hubs about it and we decided to look online what a new dryer would cost us. No need to be make a deal that would hurt us in the wallet right?

We found a new one for a bit more that the repair and the estimated new parts so we dicided to buy a new dryer. That was the best option wallet and age wise.

I have so many things, bra wash holders, sock clips, tennisbaan for delicate knit washing and all sort of stuff I have no clue where it came from.

The laundry room is small and we made it very efficient with the washer and dryer next to eachother and a shelve ontop for the folding. I decided to clean all before the new dryer would arrive. The fact that we ordered last week and could choose the weekend delivery was great. So Sunday became clean the washing area and sort out what needs to be done really once a year and which I forgot three years hahahahah yes not ,y favorite, although when I was finished I was so happy,
guess thats what deep cleaning does with a woman.

The washing machine has a door that opens to the left so I ordered a dryer that had the door open to the right to have more room and put the clean wash in the dryer in one swing.

The big company installed for free and the guys that came to bring it over were on time even called 15 minutes before they arrived and made sure the old one was removed and they even took it with them to throw away. All in 2 meter Covid rule distance Ofcourse that was company policy, I wasn’t allowed to do anything. I cleaned the place in advance and the boys needed 5 minutes to install all and I loved the new white giant. He has a solid white door as you can see in the first pictures I first had a glass door so I could see the process and if the clothing was ready have to see how this goes

but duhhh it was a barging.

Ofcourse in the years so many things were saved I had the time to throw all away. So all is neat again, and I love the end result.
We put up letters I ordered online above the shelve and the detergents are in a white box on top. All I need to wash is in little boxes now and ready to use.

If you are a man, and made it to this point maybe you think what the hell is this to be happy about but its a ladies thing and because I was busy today I needed a blog so voila ..... you don’t need to understand just vote for the work I done......

Both are working their own program now and the dryer is more silent than the old one and all smells great,
