HAPPY Steem Blockchain BIRTHDAY To Me!

steembdayblah.JPG

On March 12th ..

I celebrated my 2 year birthday here on the Steem blockchain. Rather than taking a look back or a look forward, I would much rather write about a few things I was doing this weekend when thinking about my small milestone. I've been so busy the last several days, really a continuation from the week before, that I almost missed it. Also with everything going on with Steem, the blockchain, the stock market and virus drama, I am feeling a bit BLAH to start with. I was able to take a screenshot of it before the tiny birthday cakes disappeared from the screen.

This Was Thursday..

By Friday, I was still so busy at work and anticipating company for the weekend, that I didn't give it much thought. It wasn't until Saturday morning, as I was getting geared up for my cousins visit and prepping Molly and Pepper for their grooming appointment, that I thought about it again. I figured I would eventually have time for a beer and would celebrate it in that fashion. I've been so frustrated with reactions and over reactions lately, that my mood has not been one of celebration.

Molly and Pepper don't care about such things. They are more concerned over the movements in the house. Me and my wife running here and there, cleaning this and that, putting things away, vacuuming, and of course getting out the collars. That could mean only a few things; travel, vet, or groomers. Saturday it was the groomers. Sorry guys. :-/

Pepper is sitting on the edge of the bed watching me dust the end tables and wood work in the bedroom. He insists on following from room to room, piece to piece. At least I have company while cleaning. Too bad I can't teach an old dog new tricks, so he could help me dust.

Molly on the other hand, is quite content laying in a single place as long as we are not out of sight for too long. Boy oh boy can you tell that she needs a good haircut after taking a look at this photo. She's just about had enough of me taking her picture too!

I'll just sit here for a few minutes and relax after the cleaning frenzy. The dogs join me in hopes I forgot about taking them to the groomers. Luckily they are quite small and the chair is big enough for all three of us. "Don't get too comfy guy's.. we need to get you to your appointment soon."

Time for pre-haircut pictures. Let me see If I can get them to cooperate. Sure I can! I just promise them some cookie treats.

That's good enough.. Molly is now swatting for the cookie ..

IMG_5948.JPG

Pepper just stays in one spot. He couldn't here me say "cookie" due to his deafness. Oh well, he'll figure it out soon enough.

So they go and now they're back looking and smelling MUCH better. They decide not to talk to me, but looking good non-the-less. I try to rattle off a few post cut pictures, but they don't want much to do with them right now.

Molly eventually moves to a more comfortable position, only to stick her tongue out at me as I try for one more cute shot.

ALRIGHT! It's Time For A Beer!!

My cousin and I head to a new local brewery, to sample a few of their beers. I turned out to be a pretty awesome day weather wise, so I enjoyed myself. I had the moment while sipping on my brew.. the hey happy steem birthday moment. It came and went, leaving me both disappointed and slightly relieved that I didn't make a bigger deal out of it than it really was. Given the uncertainty of steem wafting around, I suppose it was for the better.

The name of the brewery is Core 3 Brewery.

I ended up getting the Hearthside (right) and my cousin got the Therapist (left). Mine was a bit smokey which I actually liked quite a bit more than I thought I would. They will also smoke your glass with Hickory or Applewood if you want, but I decided that the smoked brew was enough for today.

These are the other selections.

The taps were all made out of hand carved wood pieces. There was also a carving of sorts, resembling a tree trunk, in/on the wall just behind the taps. It was a real eye catcher.

Then the tiny bartender had the nerve to stick both arms into my large glass of beer!!! What a jerk!! hehehehe.. He was actually very nice and extremely helpful.

Nothing Really Exciting To Mention ..

We stopped at another brewery, made our way to dinner and then home to sleep off our beer consumption. Molly and Pepper were happy about that! The shot below was actually the next day, Sunday Morning. We sat, read, and waited for the rest of the crew to arise.

As I sat there on Sunday afternoon, relaxing from a busy week and weekend, I once again thought of my steem journey and wondered what would become of it in the next month. No use in worrying about it. I'll just go with the flow!

Hey! There Is Always Beer!!

Have A Great Monday my fellow Steemians!!

About Me ~ The Artist

My art work incorporates a wide variety of subject matter, including landscape, seascape, cityscape, and still life images. My works are the product of a continuing process of exploration through which I seek to portray personal and visionary interpretations of my surroundings. My paintings are impressions of places and events from everyday life, an interpretation of my imagination, and personal responses to what I see and feel on a daily basis. More recently I have invested generous amounts of time into my landscape painting. I am surrounded by natural and man made beauty, which inherently presents itself in the tri-state area, and almost demands that I paint it.

Not everything is art. Art is not everything, but it comes close. Art is everywhere and all the time. Art makes you experience the beauty of the world, the people in it, and the places we call home. Art itself is so influential that it can tell stories, show feelings, and express passion or fury. Art exists in addition to language; expression of sensations and thoughts, revealing a way of thinking too subtle and delicate for words.

For me art requires love, honesty and perseverance. In return, it reveals some personal, non-analyzable, and creative untamed passion. For the public, art with its magnificent beauty, improves mood and health and builds better human beings and communities. It engages the intellect, softens the heart, strengthens the soul and frees the spirit.

“How many slams in an old screen door? Depends how loud you shut it. How many slices in a bread? Depends how thin you cut it. How much good inside a day? Depends how good you live ’em. How much love inside a friend? Depends how much you give ’em.”
