Dicen que es verde la envidia y que verdes son los viejos que intentan ligar jovencitas. Pero verde te quiso Lorca y prefiero seguir creyendo en la paz de la verde rama de olivo, antes que en el absurdo verde de los uniformes. Verde puede verse el mar por el arte de magia de la luz en nuestros ojos y para reconocer una verdad innegable, dicen en mi pueblo que "también es verdura el apio"... Yo te sigo queriendo verde, verde cerro, verde iguana.
It is said that envy is green and green are the old men who try to pick up young ladies. But Lorca loved you green and I prefer to continue believing in the peace of the green olive branch, instead of the absurd green of the uniforms. The sea can be seen green by the magic art of the light in our eyes and to recognize an undeniable truth, they say in my village that "también es verdura el apio"... I still love you green, green hill, green iguana.
