Apreciados amigos
Buscando entre mis archivos, para hacer inventario y organizar, me encuentro con estas fotografías de hace 4 años que nunca publiqué hasta hoy y que al verlas me vuelven a causar la misma sensación de tristeza y admiración.
Al encontrar la mariposa en el suelo me condolió al igual que a mi hijo @sorprendente, quien me ayudó a tomar las fotografías que hoy ven y que luego edité con el programa Picasa, para hacer algunos arreglos artísticos pues la mariposa no se quedaba quieta. No fue fácil fotografiar a alguien que sufre pero que lucha a la vez. Por lo que titulé está publicación: ADMIRABLE: Sin un ala pero con valor.
Dear friends
One of the things that make me admire is the bravery in defenseless beings like this monarch butterfly that without a wing did not give up easily in my garden. Her fighting spirit leaves valuable teachings and photographs for me, because I knew that at some point her story could be shared and after 4 years today the day came to be published in this 1ST PART.
Searching through my archives, to take inventory and organize, I find these photographs from 4 years ago that I never published until today and that seeing them again cause me the same feeling of sadness and admiration.
Finding the butterfly on the ground condoled me as well as my son @sorprendente, who helped me to take the photographs you see today and that I then edited with the picasa program, to make some artistic arrangements as the butterfly would not stay still. It was not easy to photograph someone who suffers but struggles at the same time. So I titled this publication: ADMIRABLE: Without a wing but with courage.
Al principio estaba en el suelo, allí fue donde la vimos por prime vez y fue un golpe de suerte encontrarla porque en las condiciones que estaba las hormigas podían hacer su festín fácil y rápidamente.
At first she was on the ground, that's where we saw her for the first time and it was a stroke of luck to find her because in the conditions she was in the ants could easily and quickly make their feast.
Al agarrarla con la intención de ayudarla. Ella iba de un lado a otro por mis manos, era como que huía y con toda razón. Pero luego se relajaba, como resignada y desconcertada. Solo que los momentos de renuncia eran breves. ¡Qué admirable!
When we grabbed her with the intention of helping her, I don't know how? She was going back and forth for my hands, it was like she was running away and rightly so. But then she would relax, as if resigned and bewildered. Only the moments of resignation were brief. How admirable!
Luego le puse en una flor creyendo que si le proporcionaba alimento ella se sentiría mejor y sobreviviría. Mientras mi hijo @sorprendente, un amante de la naturaleza, con toda su bella paciencia me apoyaba con la cámara.
Then I put her in a flower believing that if I provided nourishment she would feel better and survive. While my son @sorprendente, a nature lover, with all his beautiful patience supported me with the camera.
Revoloteaba y le costaba colocar su pico para tomar néctar de la flor.
She fluttered and struggled to place her beak to take nectar from the flower.
Todo fue mejor. Creo que en el fondo ella sabía que no corría peligro con nosotros.
Everything was better. I think deep down she knew she was in no danger with us.
Para ella todo se tornó gris al perder su ala pero su espíritu de lucha le daba color y brillo a su cuerpo.
For her everything turned grey as she lost her wing but her fighting spirit gave color and brightness to her body.
