@oscarps Photography contest #12
Good morning community.
I am very glad that you have proposed this type of initiative-contest for those of us who are dedicated to and love photography as a complex art, full of unrepeatable experiences, evolution and sensations and feelings. These types of photographic proposals enrich us by seeing the works presented by all the participants, from which I always learn something in their publications, ways of taking images, way of seeing life, techniques for taking shots, feelings expressed in their way of see life and many other circumstances that add to my way of understanding photography.
In this case and helped by my friend Rakel, the model I selected for this contest, I have tried to show two aspects that I take into account when making these close-ups, the focus and the backlight. In my case I always use the manual options that my camera provides me since many times one can fall into, for my way of working, the mistake of using the automatic modes that are configured by default on our devices. The question I raise is that when working with these automatic modes, what usually results is that the device does what it has configured in its program and not what you want it to do or what you intend to achieve when capturing the image.
In this series what I try to present to you is a different way of focusing according to the creativity, illusion, imagination of each one of the spectators who observe the photograph. I try to leave open the idea or way of seeing the image that each viewer captures when viewing it. Focusing on the model looking for those points for greater sharpness and blurring or looking for the blur where I want means that even though I am taking the same image, the photograph completely changes its aspect and shape.
Also looking for a slightly more complex situation to take the shot is something that I have tried to do in these images since there is also a backlight and some sought-after shadows. Light is a very important factor when it comes to positioning and also what the photographer intends to achieve as a result. I hope you like these images and also enjoy with yours this great contest long awaited by all lovers of photography as emotion and art.
