¿Que tal van con octubre? ¡personalmente lo veo prometedor y estoy muy emocionado!, está el Halloween y además tengo una linda sobrina que cumple años pronto! ✨✨✨ así que estoy bastante alegre xD y quisiera saber sí comparten este sentimiento? :3
Volviendo al tema del post, hoy les vengo a mostrar un diseño que cree a partir de jugar con dos ideas que me gustan bastante, la composición gráfica y la ilustración, con sus respectivas influencias.
Influencias que fueron combinadas para crear esta imagen, que sé que parece portada de colección o de sencillo musical y tiene su razón de ser, (obviamente ligadas a mi subjetividad).

Back to the topic of the post, today I come to show you a design that I created from playing with two ideas that I like quite a lot, graphic composition and illustration, with their respective influences.
Influences that were combined to create this image, which I know that it looks like a cover of a collection or a music single and it has its reason to be, (obviously linked to my subjectivity).
Concepto:
He estado, últimamente, muy afanado escuchando música en Spotify y viendo los covers visuales (me refiero alas caratulas de los álbumes), y me imaginaba como trataría yo de atacar estas representaciones, y me decidí por iniciar este ejercicio de experimentación.
Podemos dividir la ilustración en tres partes, el fondo, el dibujo y las letras, estas ultimas guiando el concepto principal. Y es que esta canción live and let die; que técnicamente es de “the Wings” (una banda formada por Paul y su esposa), yo la relaciono de manera general como si fuera de los Beatles, ya que me habla de una manera poderosa, como si fuera una canción de la banda original. Bajo mi subjetiva interpretación la canción habla de desatarse de aquellas personas que no quieren avanzar consigo mismas y en esas, andan jalando a los demás a que vivan su infierno. En ese sentido y de manera cínica, es mejor dejarlos morir, ya resucitaran, y lo mejor es que hagas lo tuyo, vivas tu vida y lo hagas tan bien como puedas, más allá de estar detrás de levantar a alguien que se está alejando a sí mismo.
Ciertamente la canción fue creada para una película de james bond y tiene su propio contexto. así que te recomiendo que lo googlees si te interesa!
Concept:
I have been, lately, very busy listening to music on Spotify and watching the visual covers (I mean the album covers), and I imagined how I would try to attack these representations, and I decided to start this experimentation exercise.
We can divide the illustration in three parts, the background, the drawing and the lyrics, the latter guiding the main concept. And is that this song live and let die; which technically is from "the Wings" (a band formed by Paul and his wife), I relate it in a general way as if it were from the Beatles, since it speaks to me in a powerful way, as if it were a song of the original band. Under my subjective interpretation, the song speaks of untying oneself from those people who don't want to move forward with themselves and in those, they go around pulling others to live their hell. In that sense and in a cynical way, it is better to let them die, they will resurrect, and the best thing to do is to do your own thing, live your life and do it as well as you can, beyond being behind lifting someone who is pushing himself away.
Certainly the song was created for a james bond movie and has its own context, so I recommend you google it if you are interested!
El dibujo:
Bajo esta percepción más centrada en la persona en sí, advertí que quería ilustrar a alguien con una pose que demuestre, seguridad y confianza.
Para esto eran perfecto mis influencias del trabajo de Hiroriko Araki donde sus personajes (inspirados por el renacimiento y el arte de la moda) a veces dejan a un lado la comodidad y naturalidad, para posar exageradamente en sus portadas del manga.
Y aquí también es donde entra una influencia resiente que vi en Pinterest, una especie de Art Nouveau moderno, que tiene unas influencias de las miniaturas del arte románico, que retrataba de manera agraciada, semi-realistica los cuerpos humanos. De muy pequeño he sido fan del anime y me encanta mucho estos estilos de dibujos, pero también he querido buscar una manera más occidental, para encontrar mi propio estilo.
The drawing:
Under this more person-centered perception, I noticed that I wanted to illustrate someone with a pose that shows, security and confidence.
Perfect for this were my influences from the work of Hiroriko Araki where his characters (inspired by the renaissance and the art of fashion) sometimes leave aside the comfort and naturalness, to pose exaggeratedly in his manga covers.
And this is also where a resent influence that I saw on Pinterest comes in, a kind of modern Art Nouveau, which has some influences from the miniatures of Romanesque art, which portrayed in a graceful, semi-realistic way the human bodies. From a very young age I have been a fan of anime and I love these styles of drawings, but I also wanted to look for a more western way, to find my own style.
De aquí nace estos primeros bocetos que trataban de emular la combinación de los dos estilos, algo más anime, pero con rasgos semirealistas, para el acabado, y que de jojos trataba de emular esa manera de posar. Les puedo mostrar el boceto original a lápiz y la versión digitalizada; como pueden ver el peinado vario bastante hasta la versión final xD, y la pose fue recortada a un plano americano.

From here was born these first sketches that tried to emulate the combination of the two styles, something more anime, but with semi-realistic features, for the finish, and that of jojos tried to emulate that way of posing. I can show you the original pencil sketch and the digitized version; as you can see the hairstyle varied a lot until the final version xD, and the pose was cut to an American plane.
My beautiful friend and by now professional model @matcha-ramita was the reference for this drawing!
Fondo
En cuanto a la composición del fondo, quería usar el elemento del de la gran ola de Kanagawa hecho por Fugaku Sanjurokkei, ya que es una ola moviéndose ante el monte fuji, representaba esta idea de “fluye”, “sigue tu camino”, que me inspira esta canción. He visto que esta obra se interviene mucho en el estilo visual del Vaporwave, que de por si este evoca a la nostalgia y la melancolía, ya que live en let die, es una canción con más bagaje de años que yo, pensé que quedaba acorde como reinterpretación. Aunque no hago uso de los colores saturados del Vaporwave, la paleta de colore es más clamada, más sutil, un predominantemente azul con contrastantes naranjas, en el que use el turquesa para hacer brillar los ojos como si fueran una piedra preciosa, ya que no considere detallarlos.
Background
As for the composition of the background, I wanted to use the element of the great wave of Kanagawa made by Fugaku Sanjurokkei, as it is a wave moving in front of Mount Fuji, it represented this idea of "flow", "follow your path", which inspires me this song. I have seen that this work intervenes a lot in the visual style of Vaporwave, which in itself evokes nostalgia and melancholy, as live en let die, is a song with more years of baggage than me, I thought it was in line as a reinterpretation. Although I don't make use of the saturated colors of Vaporwave, the color palette is more subtle, a predominantly blue with contrasting oranges, in which I used turquoise to make the eyes shine as if they were a precious stone, since I didn't consider detailing them.
