Los cuervos ocupan un importante lugar en las ficciones del Hombre, muchos escritores de ficción y terror, y fudamentalmente el séptimo arte le ha otorgado a esta ave un simbolismo con el mal que va de generación tras generación a lo largo de la historia.

Exactamente lo mismo ha ocurrido con otras ficciones como la de los relatos religiosos: son primordiales en la mitología nórdica, se mencionan en más de media docena de pasajes de la Biblia, en el antiguo folclore norteamericano indio, en el celta, chino, egipcio, griego y mucho, mucho más. Aún hoy, en buena parte de Europa, el cuervo es considerado un emblema simbólico del mal.
Por otro lado, numerosos estudios científicos sobre los cuervos se desarrollan en forma constante y la comunidad científica les considera a estas aves como las más inteligentes de todas. Pero no solo eso, además, los cuervos se consideran también uno de los animales más inteligentes del mundo después de los humanos, los primates y los delfines. Sin duda alguna, un fructífero campo en el cual aún queda mucho por conocer.
