Viejo amigo de mucho tiempo. Es bueno escribirte después de mucho tiempo. Mucho ha cambiado, ahora me he convertido en el caballero que siempre quisiste que fuera. Estaba revisando mi foto antigua cuando encontré una foto nuestra en el restaurante, que en un momento fue tu lugar favorito. Las sonrisas en tu rostro me recordaron los buenos viejos tiempos, cuando íbamos a saltar, nadar y jugar cuando éramos adolescentes. A veces desearía que se cambiaran las manecillas del reloj para traer de vuelta el pasado, me encantaría volver a pasar momentos contigo.
Han pasado 10 años desde la última vez que nos vimos, fue en tu decimoctavo cumpleaños. Lo siento, me fui de la forma en que lo hice, no podía soportar verte elegir a Paul, no podía soportar el dolor sabiendo que alguien a quien amo estaba siendo desposado por otro. No fue fácil para mí mantenerme alejado, sufrí la soledad pero lo hice por el bien de todos. Aunque estaba fuera, nunca nos olvidé. Long-time old friend. It's good to write to you after a long time. A lot has changed, I've now grown up into a gentleman you've always wanted me to be. I was going through my old photo when I came across a photograph of us at the eatery, which was at one point your favorite place. The smiles on your face reminded me of the good old days, how we went skipping, swam, and played games as teenagers. Sometimes I wish the hands of the clock could be changed to bring back the past, I would love to spend moments with You again.
It's been 10 years since we last saw each other, it was on your eighteenth birthday. Sorry I left the way I did, I couldn't stand to watch you choose Paul, I couldn't bear the pain knowing someone I love was being espoused by another. It wasn't easy for me to stay away , I suffered loneliness but I did that for the betterment of us all. Even though I was away I never forgot us. Our memories still remain fresh in my head, and sometimes I wish we were kids again.
I was told you still live in the old hut at Adams homestead. Twice have I come but found you absent. I miss you and I hope to meet with you again. I was able to make the painting of Anita, your little dog that got missing and I hope you'll like to have the painting for yourself.
I wish to invite you for a get-together at a Las Vegas coffee shop across Adewale street in lagos. It's going to be a reunion of old friends, Jane and Philip will be present as well as our childhood friends with whom we grew up together in the cowboy's farm. I believe it's a good way to begin this month of love, there's a lot in my mind I wish we could discuss but foremost, I want to see how beautiful you've grown with age.
I hope that my letter will be given consideration. I shall send it with the train leaving early tomorrow and the letter may get to you a day after, which would be February 14. With love I seal this letter, I shall await your response.
