It was a day like any other, I woke up and there was work to do, but I wanted to do something else, I wanted to walk a little by the river bank that was not so far, it was nice to hear the water, run and put my feet in the river, but as the community was first, I went and fulfilled my work of collecting, I went to my beautiful forest to look for firewood and also some other things that could be useful in the community.

I had not gone far and my sense of smell allowed me to perceive a smell of fire, but this smell of fire was different, it was fueled by something other than wood, that made me curious, so I collected everything that was necessary and took it to my community with my brothers, who had also perceived that strange smell, the elders and the shaman of the community looked a little worried and gathered us to ask us not to approach the place where the smell came from and they told us that the next day we would move to settle in another place.

As a curious young woman I thought that all that was an exaggeration and I wanted to know why that smoke was darker and smelled different, I had to see with my own eyes what was happening that was causing that smell, so when the community was careless, I went to the jungle in search of an answer, I listened to the macaws with their unique sound and I saw the howler monkeys being very nervous, I also saw the capuchins leaving the site with their children, but instead of paying attention to these signs, I kept going, because my curiosity was greater than my prudence.

As I got closer to the area where the smell came from, I began to hear some voices, but I noticed that they spoke a strange language, because I did not understand anything, I kept my distance and being a native of the jungle I knew how to walk in silence and managed to mimic to hide in the vegetation and thus observe these strange beings, without being noticed.

These strange men, who looked like ghosts, because their skin was very white and wore strange clothes, some had bright suits and raised as pots on their heads, I did not understand the reason for these strange costumes and also perceived that they smelled very bad and I saw that the smell of fire came from a viscous liquid and with which they fed and produced, Up to there everything was incomprehensible and curious, until I saw that to settle in the place they had mistreated many of the beautiful trees and vegetation of the jungle, they had also trapped some of the small capuchin monkeys, That made me sad and painful, but what really scared me was to see that they had tied up with strange ropes that looked heavy to other brothers of nomadic communities like mine, to see how they were so beaten and mistreated gave me a terrible fear, because I knew they were good people, like my community and I did not understand the behavior of these strange men, then I remembered the faces and the words of our cornflowers and the shaman and I ran away from the place very scared, my community had to know what I had seen.

When I arrived at my community, I saw the worried faces of my parents and everyone who lived there, because they did not know where I had gone, they reprimanded me, but they noticed that my face overflowed with fear, so they waited for me to tell them what had frightened me, So I told them everything I saw and the next day we moved to the community far from that area and some time passed without knowing about these beings, but sometimes we saw the smoke of much fire coming out of the trees and we also found on our way some who told us how they had been attacked and managed to escape from the carnage.

But, the day we least thought, we felt the sound of strange footsteps approaching very fast, and we saw these pale men arrive, some on foot, others on strange four-legged animals, they fell on our community, I felt a blow on my head and at the same time I fell to the ground, now I only know that I see from above, surrounded by my ancestors my people suffer and cry, we pray to the gods to help them to endure so much evil.

Finally, this is my entry for the Hispaliterario 11 I take this opportunity to invite to participate my friend @cesarsj5 and also the beautiful @caracasprin, a big hug, thanks for reaching the end and remember, that all your comments and opinions will be well received, a hug and until a next publication.
