Biden excludes Turkey and Hungary from the list of invitees to the "Summit for Democracy"

Turkey and Hungary have been removed from the list of invitees to a major summit that the Biden team considers one of its distinctive foreign policy initiatives designed to strengthen democracies around the world and stem the rise of autocracies.

The decision reflects growing U.S. concern about "Turkey and Hungary's retreat from democracy." However, the US continues to rely on these countries to counter Russia, according to Foreign Policy.

The decision is likely to further increase tensions between Washington and the two NATO allies, the publication said. At the same time, Biden administration officials assure that they are determined to further strengthen relations with Turkey and Hungary.

The Democracy Summit will take place March 28-30, with events planned in several countries and online. About 120 countries will take part in it.

Punished, so punished ... now they will think about how sovereign states should behave in the future!)))
