POSITIVE IMPACT OF FAMILY PLANNING IN MY COUNTRY NIGERIA

Hi everyone! Welcome to another edition of the Inleo daily prompt. This post will be serving as an entry to #augustinleo Day 6!. With the title "POSITIVE IMPACT OF FAMILY PLANNING IN MY COUNTRY, NIGERIA."

Family planning is considered in my country, Nigeria, and it is something I'm really grateful to the government for approving. Because honestly, I really don't know the number of children we will have more in the street.

Family planning is a good thing, if you ask me. At least, it will also help regulate the population of the country, Nigeria. Because Nigerians are really fun at just giving birth anyway. I'm literally not against them having children. Never!!! Children are gifts from God, yes! But then, why give birth to many children when you know very well that you can't take responsibility for them?

This is more common in the northern part of the country, Nigeria. You see a family having over 12 children coming from a man with a very low source of income. And then, at the end of the day, they put out these children to the street to go struggle and survive all by themselves.

Which is not really a good thing. I wouldn't be having issues with this if they were able to take good care of these children and not just put them in the street. Because some of these children are becoming something else in the street, and I really do not blame them for any of this because many of them got too exposed to life wildly at a very young age. And this has got a way of getting to them in one way or another.

But then, with family planning, it will be easier for them to have control birth. And this thing, I'm sorry to say, is majorly common with those men with low sources of income in the society. I really don't know how they seem to have taken that word of the Lord that says "Go into the world and multiple" so seriously.

You will see a very wealthy man with lots of accent and investment, having the max of 4 kids in mostly. And on the other hand, you will see a gateman or someone with a low source of income having over 10 children. Whhyyy!!!.

It's just so painful sometimes and can honestly be very annoying to me. In most cases, if you ask me. Why bring a child into the world when you know you're not capable of taking their responsibility?

But then, I'm really happy that family planning is considered in the country. At least to help reduce all of this in the country. So if you ask me, birth control is accepted in Nigeria.

Acceptance in the country, Nigeria:

  • Religion: More accepted among Christians than Muslims.
  • Education: More accepted among educated individuals.

Here Are Some Available Forms of Family Planning in Nigeria:

  • Contraceptive Pills
  • Condoms
  • Injectables
  • Implants

Summary

Despite these efforts, Nigeria still faces a lot of challenges in increasing access to and acceptance of family planning services. But then, family planning has really helped and impacted positively in the country, Nigeria, honestly.

Thank you for taking the time to go through my content, and I hope you were able to learn something from it.
