Solos weekly picks - Macro photography

Seeing the world up close really changes my perspective on life sometimes. The power of macro lenses show off the complexity of life out in the world. And there were some great photos taken this week of the world. With the weather warming up, many more will venture outside and discover the life around them.

For today here are five Hive users posting their macro content. These users only post to hive to please show them some love to choosing to exclusively use our platform.

Raindrops on Leaves by @sigota

@sigota/raindrops-on-leaves

With some rain that fell over night, this poster goes outside and finds leaves with raindrops on them. Many kinds of leaves are seen and some great pictures were taken of them.

centipede photoshoot by @dedigobelz

@dedigobelz/centipede-photoshoot

A large insect comes wandering over to this hive user and they take some macro photos of it. Honestly are are a little afraid of this insect as it has venom inside that they say can cause a fever. But in the end just some great pictures were taken of this bug.

The Ice Cube Mountain by @kemonine

@kemonine/the-ice-cube-mountain

A lego figurine is used in this macro photo to make it look like its climbing a snowy mountain. Some ice cubes along with some flour is used to give the appearance of a snow capped mountain. I think it came out pretty good and loved the creativity of this scene.

Wood mushroom in black and white Monomad Challenge by @dilimunanzar

@dilimunanzar/wood-mushroom-in-black-and-white-monomad-challenge

In this post we see some macro photography of mushrooms found around the posters garden at their families house. These are black and white photos, part of the monomad challenge. Great pictures!

Paper wasp mincing a caterpillar by @hendrikspix

@hendrikspix/paper-wasp-mincing-a-caterpillar

We see some carnage in this macro photo post, a wasp is eating a caterpillar and they talk about how they ball up the remains and feed it to the larva. And also this photographer got stung by one, even though its small it delivered a sting bad enough to give you a cold shiver down your spine.

Thats my five picks for this week, come back next week to see Solo's next weekly picks. I curate posts every Tuesday and do this through MSP. Thanks so much to the Minnow Support Group for giving me the opportunity to serve as a curator!
