Around where I live we have not had frozen rain or snow yet, though every year I expect some. But I am lucky that we only get a few inches if that. As I know too much snow can be a real pain in the ass. Here are some Hive users with snow around them.

The first snow of the year can be a real treat, this hive user goes out around St. Petersburg and observes the city as the first snow arrives. Kids are playing in it and making snowmen, and many great pictures were captured of the snow resting on objects along their walk around the city. Much more snow is expected, but something about the first snow of the year has a treat to it.

In some regions winter does not bring snow but does change the weather. The temperature drops, things get more dry and the plants around start changing reacting to the new weather fronts coming in. This user checks out some of the flowers around a hospital garden. I loved the dew forming on the leaves and flower petals.

Weather can change drastically as you move up in altitude. This hive minnow talks about how during traveling up a mountain, the sun looked as if it was going to come out. Though it was quickly replaced by clouds and fog. As they reached one to two kilometers in altitude spots of snow were showing up on the road. And they were not prepared, no ice studs for tires, wearing summertime shoes and only a single sweater. Though luckily the reached a hut where they could have some coffee and warm up a little.
