Solos weekly picks: Cars

I have been into cars ever since I got a license, alot of my tinkering has been car related over the years and I have learned about by modding them. With my love for cars I have spent days out on the track, both drag racing and circuits. And looking forward to returning to some of that fun one day.

Until then I thought I would look through some tags this week related to cars. And check out a community just for them called "Planet Auto"

Here are five minnows talking about cars on Hive:

Caravelle Renault | Vintage Lovers 🚘 ENG |ESP by @cvnuitter

In this post we check out a car show in Venezuela, a town called El Hatillo. Which is known for its vintage cars, it happens to be the 237 year of this towns creation. So there was a car show to celebrate.

1968 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA 1300 Junior by @heroldius

Taking a look at some cars that were up for auction in London by RM Sotheby. A classic Alfa Romeo that was tuned for touring car racing. The history of this car is discussed in this post as well with a bonus image.

FIA WRC Championship Finland Photos - part 3 by @eveuncovered

Spectating at a rally car event is something I have always wanted to do. Though I can enjoy in the mean time by checking out this post where someone attended a rally in Finland. Some great shots were captured, including a glowing brake rotor. A classic shot of any car race.

Друзі з Південної Кореї by @vladimir96

The discussion of Liquefied petroleum gas is the topic in this post, its something I have very little experience with as its not common here in the US. They show off the filters used for this fuel and talk about how it affects the engine compared to gasoline. I used a translator in my browser so I can understand this teamukraine post.

Drifting a Sileighty - Gran Turismo 5 - video by @rx7

Someone recorded their TV screen showing off their drifting skills in Gran Turismo 5. It caught my attention as I am playing this game as well on my emulator (RPCS3). Hopefully this person can buy a capture card so they do not need to record the screen in the future. But it was still cool seeing someone having some fun with a car in a video game.

Thats my five picks for this week, come back next week to see Solo's next weekly picks. I curate posts every Tuesday and do this through MSP. Thanks so much to the Minnow Support Group for giving me the opportunity to serve as a curator!
