Week #01
The Minnow Support Project is primarily a resource for new or small Hive accounts, but PALnet is for EVERYONE! We provide a place to meet people, listen to a 24/7 interactive social broadcast network staffed by blockchain users, chatting and networking, getting help with proofreading or formatting, and to participate in a community curation initiative to help more people grow while exploring and discovering blogging, dapps, and games on the Hive blockchain!
Let's Talk Communities!
MSP helps promote undervalued posts on the blockchain and rewards the good job done by minnows. We have a team of curators that do manual curation every day of the week in different categories, and now we want to do a weekly showcase of the various growing and active communities on the hive blockchain. This can help users discover the different niche and theme specific places where they can create and share content.
Communities are basically like Facebook groups. Instead of posting something to your wall on Facebook, if you post it directly to the group, it makes it much easier for people in that group to come across your post. - @simplifylife.
How to Post in Communities
The way posting works on any Hive frontend is to go directly to your New Post Editor, anything you post from there will appear in the blog and posts section. If you go to a community and subscribe, then hit the Write a Post button from that community this will appear on the "All Posts" section of your profile, if you want these posts to show up on your blog also, you have to reblog them. (PeakD gives you the option to do this automatically when posting).
It is also possible to post to a community by using the community hive tag as your FIRST TAG, this tag is usually something like Hive-XXXXX not #OCD, #GEMS etc.
Showcasing Communities
We will do these showcases in themes, to group similar communities and show the users the different options they have to choose from, reminding everyone that @peakd has a cross-post option to allow you to share the same post to different communities if their rules allow it.
The communities chosen are active and growing, also we noticed they curate and comment their members posts regularly. Please always read each communities rules before posting so you can understand what types of content are allowed.

The Ink Well is also one of the only writers’ communities directly supported by curie and ocd, which means we will be rewarding well written creative writing with curie and ocd votes. The Ink well aims to reward all diverse forms of imaginative writing. If you write literary fiction we’ve got you covered. If genre fiction is your bag, dip your pen and fill the well with sci-fi, fantasy, horror or even roleplay/D+D based stories. If your story has narrative and a plot of some kind, please join us and dive into the ink well. We are not able to accept poetry or chapters of serials at the moment.

A Supportive Writing Community

Description
Many people think that they cannot write. Maybe a harsh critic or a careless word by a teacher was the originator of that idea. We, the freewriters, believe that everyone can write and we use the 5 Minute Daily Freewrite Prompt as a starting point to get the creative juices flowing. Of course, we don't stop there and offer many opportunities to develop writing skills. We don't have many rules, and the ones we have can be broken - besides one. We are nice to each other and encourage everyone to keep going - no matter where they are in their writing journey. We are an international group and have Freewrite Daily Prompts in English, Spanish, and German. All are welcome here.
Things to know: They have several contests going in different languages daily so be sure to check out the moderator accounts to find the latest one and participate!
