Las fotografías son el medio con el que contamos para que los mejores momentos queden plasmados no solo en nuestras memorias, sino que se puedan apreciar a través de los sentidos, es por eso que durante toda mi vida me he dedicado a fotografiar los momentos más importantes y emblemáticos que son los que mas me gusta coleccionar.
Una de las fotos que más me deleita apreciarlas son las de mi infancia, tengo muy pocas en realidad y quizá es por eso mi afán de capturar cada etapa vivida por mis hijos y la de todos juntos como familia, tanto en los viajes como en las navidades y cumpleaños de cada uno los que conforman mi hogar.
Las fotos de mi infancia, reflejan no solo la inocencia de esa dulce época, sino también es una forma de conectarme con mi niña interior, de hablarle, de sonreírle y de muchas veces decirle que no se preocupe que todo va a estar bien y reconocerle lo fuerte y valiente que ha sido a lo largo de su vida. Decirle que me siento orgullosa de ella, de la mujer en que se convirtió y en la madre que es para sus hijos, que son siempre su prioridad. Me encanta mirarla y recordarle que aún habita en mi.
Esas fotos también me llevan a los juegos infantiles con mis hermanas, quienes aunque eran mayores que yo, también se divirtieron conmigo y me hicieron sentir protegida. Me remonta a los besos y los abrazos de mi madre y a su comida calientica, con ese olor tan particular que no he vuelto a sentir desde que partió, es que todo lo que tiene que ver con una madre, luego que lo pierdes jamás lo vuelves a encontrar.
Esas fotos me llevan a los brazos de mi padre, a su juegos en caballo y a volver a escuchar aquellas palabras que se las repetía en conversaciones a otras personas, pero que yo capturaba en el aire y las hice mía, esa frase era: “ En la vida siempre se debe buscar ser feliz”.
Hay recuerdos que guardas en la mente y en el corazón y hay otros que lo llevas en esas remembranzas pero que a la vez quedan plasmadas en mi repertorio personal de más de 5 mil fotos digitales y de más de 100 impresas.
Soy coleccionista de fotos y por ende de momentos para recordar cada vez que quiero, solo basta con mirarlas, porque dicen que en cada foto hay una historia que cada vez que la miras la vuelves a vivir. Las fotos también te recuerdan que el tiempo no se detiene y que pasa velozmente, por tal motivo cada momento hermoso debe disfrutarse y saborearse porque en los momentos duros se convierten en ese bálsamo que se necesita para seguir.
Photographs are the means we have to capture the best moments not only in our memories, but also to be appreciated through the senses, that is why throughout my life I have dedicated myself to photographing the most important and emblematic moments that are the ones I like to collect the most.
One of the photos that most delight me to appreciate are those of my childhood, I have very few in fact and perhaps that is why my desire to capture every stage lived by my children and all together as a family, both in travel and in the Christmas and birthdays of each of those who make up my home.
The photos of my childhood, reflect not only the innocence of that sweet time, but it is also a way to connect with my inner child, to talk to her, to smile and often tell her not to worry that everything will be fine and to recognize how strong and brave she has been throughout her life. To tell her that I am proud of her, of the woman she has become and the mother she is to her children, who are always her priority. I love to look at her and remind her that she still dwells in me.
These photos also take me back to childhood games with my sisters, who although older than me, also had fun with me and made me feel protected. It takes me back to my mother's hugs and kisses and her warm food, with that particular smell that I have not felt since she left, because everything that has to do with a mother, once you lose it, you never find it again.
Those photos take me to my father's arms, to his games on horseback and to hear again those words that he repeated in conversations to other people, but that I captured in the air and made them mine, that phrase was: "In life you should always seek to be happy".
There are memories that you keep in your mind and in your heart and there are others that you carry in those memories but that at the same time are captured in my personal repertoire of more than 5 thousand digital photos and more than 100 printed ones.
I am a collector of photos and therefore of moments to remember every time I want, just by looking at them, because they say that in each photo there is a story that every time you look at it you live it again. The photos also remind you that time does not stop and that it passes quickly, for that reason every beautiful moment should be enjoyed and savored because in hard times they become that balm that is needed to continue.
