Hola, un gusto saludarte, mi nombre es Nohelys pero todos me llaman Paola, curioso verdad? Paola es mi segundo nombre y por ser más corto y más fácil me acostumbré a presentarme con él, así que solo las personas allegadas a mí saben que ese no es mi primer nombre, como esta tengo muchas más anécdotas así que te contaré un poco más de mi historia.
Hello, a pleasure to greet you, my name is Nohelys but everyone calls me Paola, funny right? Paola is my middle name and because it is shorter and easier I got used to introduce myself with it, so only people close to me know that this is not my first name, like this I have many more anecdotes so I will tell you a little more of my story.
Nací en el año 1994 exactamente el 20 de noviembre, un domingo, por cierto. Excelente día para venir al mundo y comenzar la semana con mucho amor y energía jajaja. Soy venezolana, orgullosa de mis raíces, oriunda de un pueblo llamado Punta de Mata ubicado al Noreste del estado Monagas.
I was born in 1994 exactly on November 20th, a Sunday, by the way. Excellent day to come to the world and start the week with lots of love and energy hahaha. I am Venezuelan, proud of my roots, native of a town called Punta de Mata located northeast of the state of Monagas.
Punta de Mata se dio a conocer por ser la tierra del petróleo, haciendo un poco de memoria y recordando mi infancia me traslado a una tierra de gracia, recuerdo que al viajar por carretera a las afueras podía ver kilómetros de agricultura, esos pastos de un verde espectacular, un olor a mastranto y a ganado que te llenaba el corazón, al observar todo esto solo pasaba por mi mente decir; ¡Dios es perfecto y este paisaje es una maravilla!
Punta de Mata became known for being the land of oil, remembering back to my childhood I was transported to a land of grace, I remember that when traveling by road to the outskirts I could see miles of agriculture, those pastures of a spectacular green, a smell of mastranto and cattle that filled your heart, when observing all this only went through my mind to say; ¡God is perfect and this landscape is a wonder!
Estudié preescolar y primaria hasta 5to grado en un colegio icónico en punta de mata, uno de los más antiguos, en el que por cierto siempre destaqué por participar en actos culturales. Ahora te preguntarás ¿por qué estudie ahí no hasta sexto grado? Mi madre, en ese momento era secretaria de un colegio cercano a nuestra casa, entonces decidió que 6to grado sería mucho mejor estudiarlo donde ella laboraba, a decir verdad y hablando de conocimientos fue una decisión acertada, pero, por otro lado, fui víctima de bullying los primeros 5 meses de estudios.
I studied preschool and elementary school through 5th grade in an iconic school in punta de mata, one of the oldest, where I always stood out for participating in cultural events. Now you may wonder why I studied there and not up to sixth grade? My mother, at that time was the secretary of a school near our house, so she decided that 6th grade would be much better to study where she worked, to tell the truth and speaking of knowledge was a wise decision, but, on the other hand, I was a victim of bullying the first 5 months of studies.
Luego de esto nos trasladamos a la secundaria, estudié en un buen liceo, tuve excelentes profesores, me gradué de bachiller en humanidades a los 16 años, ya que siempre me gustaron los idiomas, la lectura y escribir. Hice amigos con los que aún tengo contacto, muchos de ellos ya son padres y madres de familia.
After that we moved to high school, I studied in a good high school, I had excellent teachers, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in humanities at the age of 16, since I always liked languages, reading and writing. I made friends with whom I still have contact, many of them are already fathers and mothers of families.
Recuerdo que tuve una excelente profesora que un día me dio un consejo que hasta hoy conservo: Mi querida Nohelys, nunca bajes la cabeza ante nadie. Si sabes que haces las cosas bien y desde el fondo de tu corazón, siempre debes estar orgullosa de ello.
I remember I had an excellent teacher who one day gave me a piece of advice that I still keep to this day: My dear Nohelys, never lower your head before anyone. If you know you are doing things right and from the bottom of your heart, you should always be proud of it.
Para no hacer esta autobiografía extensa y aburrida te contaré también de mi familia, tengo solo una hermana, soy hija de padres felizmente casados hasta el día en el que escribo estas letras 19/11/2022.
In order not to make this autobiography long and boring I will also tell you about my family, I have only one sister, I am the daughter of happily married parents until the day I write these letters 19/11/2022.
Mi hermana es mayor que yo por tres años, ambas desde pequeñas fuimos aplicadas en los estudios, mi hermana está en su último año de ingeniería en sistemas.
My sister is older than me by three years, both since we were little we were applied in our studies, my sister is in her last year of systems engineering.
Yo estudié derecho en la universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho, no pude culminar mis estudios porque es una universidad privada y lamentablemente para ese entonces mi país entró en una de las peores crisis de su historia y ya no pude costear esos gastos.
I studied law at the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho University, I could not finish my studies because it is a private university and unfortunately by that time my country entered one of the worst crises in its history and I could no longer afford those expenses.
Hablando de cosas más interesantes y agradables, me gusta cantar. Desde pequeña mi madre me hizo entender que todos nacemos con algo en lo que somos buenos y entendí a los 7 años mas o menos que a mi Dios me había premiado con el don de el canto, hasta hoy me pasa que las personas que me escuchan me piden que les cante y en ocasiones se me hace lo más agradable y en otras no lo es tanto, ya que nunca me ha interesado ser el centro de atención.
Speaking of more interesting and pleasant things, I like to sing. Since I was a little girl my mother made me understand that we are all born with something we are good at and I understood at the age of 7 or so that God had rewarded me with the gift of singing, to this day it happens to me that people who listen to me ask me to sing and sometimes it is the most pleasant thing for me and sometimes it is not so much, since I have never been interested in being the center of attention.
Bailar también es algo que disfruto mucho, a decir verdad, la música en general. Soy la típica chica que siempre tiene los auriculares puestos, la música para mi como para muchos es mi escape, un refugio, esa zona de confort y de relajación que en ocasiones también funciona como motor de inspiración.
Dancing is also something I enjoy a lot, to tell you the truth, music in general. I'm the typical girl who always has headphones on, music for me as for many is my escape, a refuge, that zone of comfort and relaxation that sometimes also works as an engine of inspiration.
El mundo cripto llegó a mi vida en el año 2018, cuando comencé a trabajar para una casa de cambios, era un negocio que en ese momento estaba en auge por la migración. Trabajé para esa empresa durante 4 años. Y en todo ese tiempo me dediqué a aprender no solo de ese negocio, sino de todo el universo que hay detrás de la tecnología blockchain. Gracias a esto hoy en día puedo decir que me siento muy feliz, ya que logré tener mi propia casa de cambios.
The crypto world came into my life in 2018, when I started working for an exchange house, it was a business that at that time was booming because of migration. I worked for that company for 4 years. And in all that time I dedicated myself to learn not only about that business, but about the whole universe behind blockchain technology. Thanks to this, today I can say that I feel very happy, since I managed to have my own exchange house.
Soy empírica y autodidacta por pasión, estar en constante aprendizaje es mi forma de vida. Actualmente vivo en Ecuador, trato de ver la vida desde una perspectiva positiva, entendiendo que este es solo un viaje y estamos aquí para disfrutar. I am empirical and self-taught by passion, being in constant learning is my way of life.
