Samuel es un niño de 11 años que vive en la calle, dejó la escuela; aunque es muy aplicado con las matemáticas y la lectura; trabaja en cualquier oficio y tiene un noble corazón. Un día Doña Paquita le pide que haga unas compras, el niño con este encargo, asegura comida deliciosa y calor de hogar por unas cuantas horas.

Al regresar, la Doñita musita: “Hijo, hoy no tengo cómo pagarte, te puedo ofrecer este viejo juguete”. Samuel le llamó la atención el muñeco deteriorado y lo toma, sabe que él es el reflejo de su dura vida de estos primeros años.

Samuel se retira con su juguete, estando en la calle un coleccionista le ha ofrecido una suma cuantiosa por el muñeco. El niño volvió con el dinero a donde Doña Paquita, le contó lo sucedido y desde entonces la vida de ellos mejoró y son inseparables.
