Breen tested new Ford Puma Rally1 2022 on tarmac

Hi, friends!

M-Sport Ford works 24/7 on the new hybrid evolution of the WRC 2022 car called Ford Puma Rally1. They even invited nine time World Rally Champion Seb Loeb to test for them and maybe this is a sign of a potential drive for 2022.

Craig Breen, M-Sport Ford's first signing for the next season, already revealed that he would be very pleased to work with Loeb because they need an experience of someone who already worked on developing of a winning WRC car. And Loeb developed winning Citroen Xsara WRC, C4 WRC and DS3 WRC.

If they signed Loeb already, that would be a good sign that the team decided to work in a different manner because they cut their testing program for 2020 and 2021 significantly. And team without testing can't do good,

They didn't have a test before WRC Rally Finland and Rally Catalunya Spain. I can't say anything else then a shame. But that's probably because they are trying to make funds for the next season's car development.

And they are trying hard. After Loeb's test, it was turn for Craig Breen to continue with testing before they will turn on the gravel surface. I don't know if Loeb will be present at the gravel testing, but if he is in M-Sport's plans, he should do that also.

I can see from the testing video that Breen was fired up because of cooperation with Loeb. He would learn from Loeb more then with all his team mates in the last season or two. You can't win the none WRC titles that easy.

There is another thing which gives Breen a confidence and that is a two year contract for a full seasons with M-Sport Ford. For the first time he doesn't have to worry what he will do next year the same time.

That just gives him peace in mind and that's good if he wants to deliver a results with the new team.

I would say that M-Sport could have an advantage over Toyota and Hyundai because they are testing full time and that could maybe give them an edge for the next season.
