The protests in Cuba and the mainstream media

Over the last several days massive protests broke out in Cuba. In multiple cities citizens hit the streets demanding freedom and end to the Communist totalitarian oppression.

Meanwhile the mainstream media in the US are trying to present it as a mere protest against poor response to the COVID-19 pandemic and lack of vaccines. If any evidence exists to support that interpretation, it seems to be nowhere in sight.

The Communist regime in Cuba appears to be working desperately on suppressing the protests and preventing information from getting out. Internet access is being intermittently cut on the island and the situation is hard to assess from the outside at the moment.

Florida boat owners are trying to run relief supplies into Cuba, counter to the US government warnings. Meanwhile, said US government seems to be interested in neither the truth getting out, nor supporting the protesters seeking freedom from their oppressive government.

Meanwhile, the Biden DHS says no refugees are welcome from Cuba. That is the same administration that has no issue with thousands of illegal migrants streaming across the southern border. Is the administration and its allies in the media secret allies of the Communist regime in Havana?
