The idea that members of Congress should not trade on stock market DOA in Congress

A bipartisan group in the US Congress has introduced a bill that would prohibit members of Congress frm owning and trading in stocks due to the obvious influence they can have on the market as legislators. The leadership in the Congress stopped the bill from being voted on. So in case you were not sure - yes, at this point in time corruption in Congress is bipartisan and they don't even seem to have much concern about doing it right there in the open.
