Biden classified documents scandal: first impression

Yes, I know I am late to the show - but hey, I got stuff to do. But the news is quite something.

Apparently, a cache of classified documents was discovered in President Joe Biden's garage. This is a mirror image of sorts of the allegations against ex-President Trump that led to Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida being searched by authorities. Before we begin: in both cases, I would like to warn against overvaluing the possible risk of these possible exposures. Not all classified documents are really, well, all that sensitive. But the law is the law - or at least this is the way it is supposed to be. And both Trump and Biden are now being investigated in connection with their respective cases.

Predictably, mainstream media are far more sympathetic of Biden than they are of Trump. And they are even making some good points - for example, that an allegedly small number of classified documents mixed with non-classified ones in Biden's garage were unlikely to be discovered by any malefactor. Of course, the same is true of safe storage that Trump had used for the documents in question at his residence - and even more so. But the situation is definitely curious.

I am sure we will hear more curious details - both about the Biden situation and the Trump one. But once again we see Trump's opponents facing the same allegations as him. Hence demonization of Trump that we are witnessing seems to have little, if any, factual grounds.
