9/11: that sunny day 20 years ago

It is a quiet sunny September Saturday today. 20 years ago, it was a Tuesday. It was also sunny, a picture perfect weather. I was in Cambridge, Massachusetts, just a short distance North of where I am now. That day started like many others but ended with a sense of confusion and bewilderment, attempts to estimate the casualties and ascertain that everyone I knew who could have been affected by the events was safe. Thankfully, they all were. But that didn't stop me from thinking back to that day long and hard in days and months and years to come.

The grief and anger over this crime was intertwined in my mind with a desire to understand what happened and why it happened. I was also trying to process the emergent new reality. I was trying to see how diminished civil liberties and wars abroad, without an actual thorough investigation of alleged security failures, or even of the dynamics of the event itself, were expected to make us safer. I saw contradictions all around the narrative that formed - that is, what I now call the official narrative. Eventually, in about 3 years, towards the Fall of 2004 I realized that the official narrative of 9/11 was an impossibility, a farce, and that the event was at the every least used to introduce drastic changes to the whole Western world, and thus to the whole world. The idea was that a spectre of terrorism could be used to usher a new style of totalitarianism - that of total surveillance, arbitrary restrictions on citizens, top down control of activities, financial transactions, travel, etc.

In the era of COVID-19 all of this came into a sharper focus. The virus, while real, has an actual case fatality rate of under 1%, yet is presented as sufficient cause for completely refashioning our lives and our societies. Why? Could this be a re-run of the post-9/11 era, only in an amplified fashion?

These are all tangible questions. Below, I will link an article I wrote on 22 May 2006, over 15 years ago. It is essentially a collection of unanswered questions that show the official 9/11 narrative to be a lie. Best I can tell, 15 years later they are still to be answered.

Lies kill. Wars are almost always started based on a lie. We swim in the sea of them.

May those who died as a result of the lies on 9/11 - the victims of the "War on terror", the victims of various other related deception campaigns - rest in peace. And may we honor their memory by working on ending the lies, by ruthlessly and relentlessly uncovering and disclosing lies and propaganda with the searing torch of truth!
