Waving lights at East Buxton Lime Kiln

A popular "go to" location for me and especially @fadetoblack is East Buxton Lime Kiln in the Derbyshire Peak District. It's been a saviour for us when raining outside as it often does in the Peak District but tonight it was dry:

For this shot I positioned a Godox AD200 flashgun low down within each section and fired remotely. The colour gels on the flash were arranged in to four segments using my home made "quadrablaster" gadget. Once the flash was fired, I carefully made way out of the kiln in the dark to light up the front of this structure with a Convoy S2 plus flashlight, a cheap little Chinese made torch which is really quite powerful for it's size.

On previous visits to the Lime Kiln, I've bagged a star trail or two:

And inside the kiln itself we've bagged a few belters too:

And finally, the kiln at the end of the universe:

About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
