Old school rules - lightpainting on Hive

This weekend I ventured out in the dark for a solo and socially isolated spot of exercise in the dark as one does.... I spent some time revisiting old school techniques I haven't used in years and to be honest they were all really rubbish shots! So this post is to remind myself how it's done...

Old school orb

This shot was made with a home made orb tool with RGB LED's. During the single exposure I also lit up the graffiti on the walls

Use ALL the toys!

This is a shot where I basically used all the lightpainting tools I had at my disposal on the day, literally throwing everything I've got at it:

Experimental with the emphasis on mental

This is one of my very first lightpainting experiments in my back yard using EL wire attached to a bicycle wheel with various LED lights thrown at it. It seems a bit primitive nowadays but I learnt a lot from faffing around in my garden much to the amazement of my neighbours....

About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
