Nearly but not quite - a collection of lightpainting rejects

I am very aware that I post images to the Hive which I am mostly satisfied with where I have achieved what I aimed for. But prior to "nailing the shot", I may have made many attempts at arranging all the elements in the image such as pointing the right way, the correct aperture, out of focus etc. This is a post of "nearly but not quites" or rejected shots where I tried again immediately afterwards.

The Loxley Pyromaniac

Here I've had to drag back the highlights in Photoshop because the firework was too bright with the aperture set too wide. I re-shot this with a smaller aperture and nailed it.

Socially isolated selfie

This is yours truly experimenting with rain drops as part of the composition. Here I realised that my colour choice of gelled blue LED panel wasn't working so immediately after this I changed the colour to a flame red which did the trick.

A night in Benniworth Tunnel

I really liked this shot until I realised I had my ISO set to 3200! I reshot this with a lower ISO but I ended up making the shot way more complicated on the next one!

Ever increasing circles

Here I didn't quite line up the silhouette correctly. This is the kind of image that tweaks my pseudo OCD and I always have to shoot the damn thing again!!

All shot in one photographic exposure, these images are not Photoshop creations!

About me:
I usually specialise in shooting lightpainting images but occasionally dabble in urbex and artistic model photography. I'm always on the lookout for someone to collaborate with; please don't hesitate to get in touch if you'd like to create art.
