Hola amigas de mi bonita comunidad de Home Solutions, espero estén muy bien, estoy muy contenta por participar en esta iniciativa de inicio de año, que habla de una parte importante de mi día a día como lo es mi hogar y esos arreglos que me propongo hacer para este 2024.
El hablar de los arreglos de mi apartamento es algo que me entusiasma mucho y me gusta cuidar cada detalle. Vivo en un apartamento de 80 mts cuadrados si no me equivoco, pero tengo la suerte de que por vivir en planta baja, las condiciones están dadas para que pueda abrir otra entrada y convertirla en mi entrada principal y tener un porche solo para mí.
Verán, vivir en planta baja es muy beneficioso, pero muchas veces puede ser algo molesto, porque muchos creen que por vivir en planta baja tenemos la obligación de estar de porteros a cada rato y llega un punto en el que más que ser servicial, es un tema molestoso, eso me pasa, a tal punto de tener que desconectar el timbre y colocar letreros de No Estoy para los abusadores.
Hello friends of my beautiful community of Home Solutions, I hope you are very well, I am very happy to participate in this initiative at the beginning of the year, which speaks of an important part of my day to day as it is my home and those arrangements that I propose to do for this 2024.
Talking about the arrangements of my apartment is something that excites me a lot and I like to take care of every detail. I live in an apartment of 80 square meters if I am not mistaken, but I am lucky that because I live on the first floor, the conditions are given so that I can open another entrance and turn it into my main entrance and have a porch just for me.
You see, living on the first floor is very beneficial, but many times it can be a little annoying, because many believe that by living on the first floor we have the obligation to be the doormen all the time and there comes a point where rather than being helpful, it is an annoying issue, that happens to me, to the point of having to disconnect the doorbell and place signs of I am not for the abusers.
Otro de los motivos por el que quiero abrir otra entrada es que en reiteradas ocasiones la llave del edificio se ha roto, y tienen que esperar picar, sacar, soldar y todo un proceso que si necesitas salir de inmediato no puedes.
También porque siempre es bueno tener otra entrada, en mi caso particular, tengo un proyecto a futuro de seguir construyendo y ampliar el área del lavandero, y así tendré mi entrada independiente, donde tengo acceso directo al bajar del carro, e incluso me sirve para salir y tender la ropa sin tener que darle la vuelta a todo el edificio.
Es una entrada y salida rápida, pues tendré la oportunidad de hacer un porche en esa área. Pero para el trabajo completo requiero más de 1000 $, por lo que inicialmente, solo quiero mandar a hacer la puerta y abrir mi entrada por allí y lego, ya más adelante, continuar esa construcción, la cual requiere paredes y una placa.
Another reason why I want to open another entrance is that repeatedly the key to the building has broken, and have to wait to chop, remove, weld and a whole process that if you need to leave immediately you can not.

Pero el detalle no es poner cualquier puerta, sino que la puerta que yo deseo no es una puerta comercial y me ha sido muy difícil encontrarla, así que la tengo que mandar a hacer y por eso me sale más costosa. Verán, yo quiero poner allí esas puertas que en la misma puerta, en la parte de arriba tienen una ventana que forma parte de la misma puerta, lo que me permitiría mayor ventilación y seguridad.
Ese tipo de puerta la tiene la abuela de mi hijo mayor, ella está bajo llave, pero tiene la ventaja que puedes tener la parte de arriba abierta recibiendo aire como si fuera una ventana con su reja, sin el miedo de que alguien se vaya a meter, esta puerta no se consigue y es justo la que yo quiero.
Así que hablé con un señor que es herrero y me sacó presupuesto de todo lo que debo comprar y si gasto quizá un poco más de los 200 $, así que como mi presupuesto es limitado, iré comprando el material y al tenerlo todo, llamo al herrero para que la construya e instale, contando que por eso me cobre de mano de obra unos 50 $, le echo una pintadita, le pongo un para bichos en la parte baja para evitar el paso de algún animal y listo.

So I talked to a man who is a blacksmith and he gave me a budget of everything I have to buy and if I spend maybe a little more than 200 $, so as my budget is limited, I will buy the material and when I have everything, I call the blacksmith to build and install it, counting that he will charge me about 50 $ for labor, I paint it, I put a bug stopper at the bottom to prevent the passage of any animal and that's it.
Mi pensar es luego quitar la puerta de allí y ponerla más adelante cuando haga la otra ampliación, pero eso ya no será para este año y mientras tanto planifico usar mi puerta para entrar y salir más cómoda.
Deseo también terminar mi cocina, esta es una meta que me fijé terminar en este mes de enero, por lo menos el empotrado de mis puertas y arreglar algunos detalles que me faltan que aunque sean mínimos, sé que aún no están listos y mi meta es pasar esa página.
Y por último, pero no menos importante, quiero cambiar la cerámica del piso del baño por un porcelanato anti resbalante. El tono de la cerámica de la pared del baño me gusta, son tonos cálidos, pero el piso del baño no lo siento seguro, porque colocaron la misma cerámica de la pared en el piso y esta mojada es resbalosa, y sabiendo de tantos casos que han ocurrido y de caídas peligrosas en el baño, en mi lista de metas de este año en mi casa está el cambiar esta cerámica. Hay otras cosas que también quisiera mejorar, como las puertas de los closets o la puerta de la ducha, pero este visión board 2024 lo quiero hacer con base en metas que se vean materializadas, no solo que sean fantasías, por eso, estas son mis tres metas para mejorar mi hogar este 2024 y con ayuda de Dios y mucho esfuerzo iré cumpliendo y por su puesto ustedes serán testigos de estos importantes logros.
My plan is to remove the door from there and put it later when I make the other extension, but that will not be for this year and in the meantime I plan to use my door to enter and exit more comfortably.
I also want to finish my kitchen, this is a goal I set myself to finish this January, at least the built-in of my doors and fix some missing details that even if they are minimal, I know they are not ready yet and my goal is to turn that page.
And last but not least, I want to change the ceramic tile on the bathroom floor for an anti-slip porcelain tile. I like the tone of the ceramic of the bathroom wall, they are warm tones, but the bathroom floor does not feel safe, because they placed the same ceramic of the wall on the floor and this wet one is slippery, and knowing so many cases that have happened and dangerous falls in the bathroom, in my list of goals for this year in my house is to change this ceramic. There are other things that I would also like to improve, such as the closet doors or the shower door, but this vision board 2024 I want to do it based on goals that are materialized, not just fantasies, so these are my three goals to improve my home this 2024 and with God's help and a lot of effort I will fulfill them and of course you will be witnesses of these important achievements.
