Hola amigos de home solutions! espero se encuentren bien, hoy quiero unirme a la iniciativa “Esto lo hice yo” la cual me pareció excelente ya que podemos ver como con entusiasmo, creatividad e ingenio podemos hacer grandes cambios en nuestro hogar.
Hello friends of home solutions! I hope you are well, today I want to join the initiative "I did this myself" which I found excellent because we can see how with enthusiasm, creativity and ingenuity we can make great changes in our home.
Hace un año, mi mamá y yo decidimos cambiar nuestras viejas sillas del comedor, ya que estaban algo anticuadas ya no combinaban con la decoración de la casa, pero no teníamos suficiente dinero para comprar sillas nuevas, sólo teníamos como 100 dólares y las ganas de hacer una renovación al comedor.
A year ago, my mom and I decided to change our old dining room chairs, as they were a little outdated and did not match the decor of the house, but we did not have enough money to buy new chairs, we only had about 100 dollars and the desire to make a renovation to the dining room.
Luego de ver como las queríamos y que materiales teníamos (la verdad, aprovechamos hasta el mínimo listón de madera jaja), comenzamos el proceso. La verdad, no fue fácil eran sillas de hierro forjado y no teníamos presupuestado gastar mucho dinero. Pero gracias a unos amigos herreros y carpinteros que nos ayudaron a cortar y soldar logramos hacerlo dentro del prepuesto, ya que el resto del trabajo (pintado, armado y forrado de las sillas fue todo nuestro), amamos el resultado y todo el tiempo invertido valió la pena. Además, que surgieron nuevas ideas para decorar otros espacios de la casa. La verdad, es que mi mamá y me abuela son mujeres super activas y creativas y me han inspirado a reutilizar y renovar las cosas antes de donarlas o desecharlas.
After seeing how we wanted them and what materials we had (truth be told, we took advantage of even the smallest wood strip haha), we started the process. To be honest, it wasn't easy, they were wrought iron chairs and we didn't have to spend a lot of money. But thanks to some friends blacksmiths and carpenters who helped us to cut and weld, we managed to do it within the budget, since the rest of the work (painting, assembling and lining of the chairs was all ours), we loved the result and all the time invested was worth it. Besides, we came up with new ideas to decorate other spaces in the house. The truth is that my mom and grandmother are super active and creative women and have inspired me to reuse and renew things before donating or discarding them.
