Reconciliation is the re -establishment of friendly relations, conciliation or rapprochement.
Theologically, it can be defined as the end of estrangement between the human and God as a result of the process of atonement.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. ( 2cor 5:18-19)
The message of reconciliation is the message God has given us to preach and teach but not condemnation. We are to reconcile men back to God, not to condemned men. How? by preaching the gospel of Christ Jesus, which is the goodnews.
This gospel of Jesus Christ must clearly explained how Christ reconciled us back to God and brought us salvation through his death, burial and resurrection. So, any message that doesn't talk about the dead, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ isn't the Gospel, because there is no goodnews in it that can save a sinner.
Our message to the sinners, should point them to eternal life in God made available to them through Christ, not the life of sin, guilt and condemnation. Your message to a sinners should not focus on their bad characters or wrong doing, don't make them feel guilty or condemned to hell. But rather your message should excite the heart of the sinner, and show them that God loves them in spite of their wrong things, and that Jesus already bore the penalty for their sins.
John 3:16 says :For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
God had made clear in his law that anyone who believes in Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life; this is a sovereign declaration of almighty the God. All you have to tell the sinner, is believe in Jesus Christ and be save. As a sinner, when you believe in Christ, you will receive eternal life, and at once free from perishing. The darkness will be gone, you will become a new creation and the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
As a Christian and believer, you must personally acknowledge that the Gospel had been committed to your trust. You're minister of the message of Christ's salvation, and that message is a message of reconciliation, not condemnation.
