Piedras de Tropiezo
Hace poco vi una película llamada Philomena, que está basada en el libro The lost child of Philomena Lee de Martin Sixsmith, (Los niños perdidos de Philomena) que narra la historia real de Philomena Lee y la búsqueda de su hijo desde que le fue arrebatado.
Annie Philomena Lee, es una mujer de origen irlandés, activista por el derecho a la identidad y la búsqueda de niños vendidos en adopciones ilegales. Fue víctima de su causa, cuando estando recluida en un asilo de las Magdalenas le fue arrebatado su hijo y fue vendido a una familia extranjera por la Iglesia católica.

Esta historia me trajo a reflexión sobre cómo vivimos los que profesamos la fe Cristiana, tenga la denominación que tenga, ( de esto se ha hablado mucho y quiero poner un granito de arena mas al tema) debe haber una diferencia notable en quienes la practicamos, porque no tiene sentido decir que creemos en una deidad superior que demanda de nosotros, una vida de piedad, humildad, misericordia, mansedumbre, frutos de una vida nueva y diferente al mundo, siendo luz y no confusión, llevando esperanza al desesperado, consolando al afligido , liberando al cautivo, con la firmeza de confrontar lo que está mal , bajo los principios, valores morales y bíblicos que se han torcido por la existencia de una religión permisiva y vana. En el libro de Santiago 2:14-17 dice: ¿De qué aprovecha si alguno dice que tiene fe y no tiene obras? ¿Podrá la fe salvarle? Y si un hermano o hermana están desnudos y tienen necesidad de mantenimiento cada día y alguno de vosotros les dices id en paz, calentaos y saciaos pero teniendo no les das la cosas que son necesarias para el cuerpo ¿De qué aprovecha? Así también la fe sin obras es muerta en si misma.
Hemos hecho mucho daño a quienes buscan darle sentido a sus vidas para saciar esa necesidad espiritual que todos tenemos. Muchas veces nos hemos convertido en piedras de tropiezo para aquellos que buscan y quieren conocer a ese Dios resucitado que promete una vida gozosa en la tierra con todas sus dificultades y la plenitud en la eternidad.
Los verdaderos Cristianos, tenemos una responsabilidad muy grande delante Dios, nos regimos por la palabra de Dios y ella nos dice que debemos predicar el evangelio a toda criatura ese es nuestro trabajo. Lo demás lo hace Dios por la fuerza de su santo espíritu y muestra dos caminos el ancho y el estrecho, el estrecho cuesta y por las aflicciones de por medio suele pensarse que es el incorrecto, al contrario, todo sufrimiento es vanal cuando la recompensa trasciende esta vida. Y esa decisión la tiene la persona en su libre albedrío.
Alguien dijo ¨Si el Dios en quien creo no existe, al morir no pasa nada no se pierde nada, pero si es real lo pierde todo, prefiero ir a lo seguro y estar listo para cuando termine mi vida en este mundo temporal. Pasar a esa dimensión gloriosa y morar con el Dios en quien he creído¨.
En Mateo 23:28 Así también vosotros por fuera a la verdad se muestran justos con los hombres, pero por dentro están llenos de hipocresía e iniquidad. La gente no quiere saber del Creador de todas las cosas, por nuestro comportamiento, reflejamos todo, menos al Cristo que predicamos, Cuidémonos de no actuar como los fariseos hipócritas a quien el Señor confronto duramente. Practiquemos lo que predicamos, porque él no dará por inocente al culpable

This story brought me to reflect on how those of us who profess the Christian faith live, no matter what denomination we may be, (this has been talked about a lot and I want to put one more grain of sand on the subject) there must be a notable difference in those of us who practice it, because it does not make sense to say that we believe in a superior deity that demands from us, a life of piety, humility, mercy, meekness, fruits of a new life and different from the world, being light and not confusion, bringing hope to the desperate, consoling the afflicted, freeing the captive, with the firmness to confront what is wrong, under the principles, moral and biblical values that have been twisted by the existence of a permissive and vain religion. In the book of James 2:14-17 it says: What does it profit if someone says he has faith but has no works? Can faith save him? And if a brother or sister is naked and in need of maintenance every day, and one of you says to them, 'Go in peace, be warmed and filled', but if you do not give them the things needed for the body, what is the use? So faith without works is dead.
We have done much harm to those who seek to make sense of their lives in order to satisfy that spiritual need we all have. Many times we have become stumbling blocks for those who seek and want to know that risen God who promises a joyful life on earth with all its difficulties and fulfillment in eternity.
True Christians, we have a great responsibility before God, we are governed by the word of God and it tells us that we must preach the gospel to every creature that is our job. The rest is done by God by the strength of his holy spirit and shows two ways, the wide and the narrow, the narrow slope and through the afflictions in between is often thought to be the wrong one, on the contrary, all suffering is vain when the reward transcends this life. And that decision is for the person in his free will.
Someone said ¨Si the God I believe in doesn't exist, when you die nothing happens, nothing is lost, but if it's real you lose everything, I prefer to play it safe and be ready for when my life in this temporal world ends. Go to that glorious dimension and dwell with the God in whom I have creído¨.
In Matthew 23:28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
