Welcome to my daily devotional. This is my Introductory post

Our today's Bible reading is taken from 2 Timothy 1:7 which says;

The most high God has given us the spirit that is not of fear but of power and lover and self control at last.
A wise man has good quality of self control.
A successful minister of God has good quality of self control.
Have you loss your reputation in life because you lack self control over things?
Ask God to revive you and as well, try as much as possible to build it yourself.
In doing that, identify those things which you can not resist. Those things that act against the kind of person you wish to be.
Pray that God should see you through the process of resistance (check Titus 2:12) because without Him, your effort is in vain because the devil is using those things to manipulate you to his liking.

Are you the type that wish to sleep with women on daily basis?
That's lack of self control over the desires of the flesh. The Bible advices such person to get married in 1 Corinthians 7:9 saying;

But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion. Source

Plan on ways to resist things that will make you sin against the most high God.
If you're the type that can't control your emotions or anger. Learn to control it because these two things bring sorrows and disappointment at last.
The Bible made us to know in James 1:19 saying

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger. Source

Finally, let's urge ourselves to have self control over things that we do. Some things are bad when we overdo them.
May God help us all as we continue to hope for better days in our lives in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer

My one and only true God, we have come before you today to ask for the spirit of self control to dwell in our lives, help us to build and maintain this spirit even though we are mortals, give us the right mind to identify those things that will make/provoke us to overdo some certain things, this we pray in Jesus name, amen.
