For Today 25th September 2020
We're taking our Bible reading from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4.
It says;
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” source
Our mighty God of comfort is blessed. He is the God that comforts His people.
Yeah, our God shows us how to comfort the afflicted, even though we're yet to be made full or perfect.
Have you found yourself in situations where you're in more trouble and yet you comfort those with just trouble-bruised?
This is because, our most high God has comforted your inner-self, making you more resistance to frustration, even when you should be frustrated.
People may mock you because of your condition as a Christian comforting people more wealthier than you. Don't worry because you being at peace is part of your reward. They may also laugh you that your reward is in heaven.
By them saying that, it's a guarantee that it must surely be yours.
You know, people say things without knowing how possible it might be.
Praise be to God.
Prayer
Oh Lord, fill our hearts with hope through the God of hope and as we've been comforted by this you, may we continue to be able to comfort those who're afflicted in Jesus name. Amen.
