Queridos Hivers, hace tres días fue el día de la madre aquí en Venezuela y yo tuve la dicha de celebrarlo junto a mi querida mamá, quien ha sido un gran apoyo incondicional para mí en lo que llevo de vida. Mi mamá es una mujer inteligente, resiliente, servicial, estudiosa, educada, positiva y es una gran persona en general, estoy muy agradecida de que ella sea mi madre, no la cambiara por nada.
Por todo lo mencionado anteriormente para mí es justo y necesario celebrar el día de la madre, nunca dejo que esta fecha pase desapercibida para mi mamá (y mis hermanos, aunque ya no viven con nosotros, tampoco), siempre le regalo algo que le guste más comparto con ella para que sepa que es apreciada y especial. En esta ocasión no fue diferente, permítanme contarles un poco sobre que le regale y como fue este día en general, pero antes, responderé unas cuantas preguntas propuestas por la comunidad @family-friends.
Dear Hivers, three days ago it was Mother's Day here in Venezuela and I had the joy of celebrating it with my dear mother, who has been a great unconditional support for me throughout my life. My mom is a woman who is smart, resilient, helpful, studious, educated, positive and is a great person in general, I'm very grateful that she is my mother, I wouldn't change her for anything.
For all the above mentioned. for me it is fair and necessary to celebrate Mother's Day, I never let this date go unnoticed for my mom (and my siblings, although they no longer live with us, either), I always give her something that she likes the most and I share with her to let her know that she is appreciated and special. This time was no different, let me tell you a little bit about what I gave her and how was this day in general, but first, I will answer a few questions proposed by the community @family-friends.
💐¿Qué recuerdos bonitos tienes en alguna festividad del día de las madres?
Suelo compartir con mi mamá en esta fecha, no hay un día de la madre en que no haya estado con ella hasta ahora, así que pienso que todas las celebraciones han sido bonitas. Creo que el mejor recuerdo siempre va a ser el ver a mi mamá contenta al recibir sus regalos, también el poder compartir con ella en esta fecha especial ya es un buen recuerdo.
💐¿Existe alguna tradición familiar para celebrar este día? Descríbela.
Realmente tradición como tal en todo el sentido de la palabra, no, o sea, siempre celebramos el día dándole regalos a mi mamá y hacemos o compramos una comida que a ella le guste, pero no es igual todas las veces.
💐¿Cuál es el mejor regalo que le pudieses dar a tu mamá?
Mi mamá es muy poco materialista y bastante práctica, uno de sus lemas es "primero mis hijos", así que pienso que el mejor regalo que le puedo dar es mi apoyo y compañía (también ayudarla a limpiar ja, ja, ja). Ella no es alguien exigente, aun así como a mí me gusta dar regalos en general, siempre le compro varias cosas en el día de la madre que sé que serán de utilidad para ella y le van a gustar.
💐What fond memories do you have on any Mother's Day festivities?
I usually share with my mom on this date, there is not a mother's day that I have not been with her so far, so I think all the celebrations have been nice. I think the best memory will always be seeing my mom happy to receive her gifts, also being able to share with her on this special date is already a good memory.
💐Is there any family tradition to celebrate this day? Describe it.
Not really a tradition in the full sense of the word, I mean, we always celebrate the day by giving gifts to my mom and we make or buy a meal that she likes, but it is not the same every time.
💐What is the best gift you could give your mom?
My mom is very non-materialistic and quite practical, one of her mottos is "my kids first", so I think the best gift I can give her is my support and company (also helping her clean up ha, ha, ha). She is not someone who is picky, yet as I like to give gifts in general, I always buy her many things on mother's day that I know will be useful for her and that she will like.
En este día de la madre decidimos quedarnos calmadamente en casa y preparar hamburguesas. A mi mamá (y a todos realmente) le gustan mucho las hamburguesas, así que esta fue su comida especial del día. El postre fue una marquesa de chocolate que mi persona preparo en la madrugada a base de pudin y mucho cariño. La verdad es que me quedo muy rica y fresca, no duro nada, se la comieron muy rápido.
Mi mamá disfruta mucho de ver series y películas, así que después de compartir un rato en la sala, se fue a su cuarto a ver un capítulo de una de las series que está viendo actualmente mientras se comía parte de las chucherías que le regale.
On this mother's day we decided to calmly stay at home and prepare hamburgers. My mom (and everyone in the house) really like burgers so this was her special meal of the day. The dessert was a chocolate marquise that my person prepared at dawn with pudding and a lot of love. The truth is that it was very delicius, rich and fresh, nothing lasted, they ate it very quickly.
My mom really enjoys watching series and movies, so after spending some time in the living room, she went to her room to watch an episode of one of the series she is currently watching while she ate some of the sweets I gave her.
De regalo, decidí comprarle una crema corporal grande, un perfume, un chocolate Toblerone mediano (le encanta el Toblerone) y dos chocolates Carré pequeños. Opte por comprarle esas cosas porque ella quería una crema hidratante de calidad, que le durara bastante, los perfumes los usa mucho, así que no podía faltar y bueno, le gusta mucho el chocolate en general, esos que le compre, los ama, son de sus favoritos. Todo lo acomodé en una bonita bolsa de regalo dorada a la cual le di un toque colocándole un topper plateado que dice "Feliz día". Mi mamá quedó muy contenta con su regalo, lo cual me hizo sentir feliz.
Estoy agradecida haber podido compartir otro día de la madre junto a mi mamá. ¿Ustedes como celebraron este día? 💖
As a gift, I decided to buy her a large body cream, a perfume, a medium Toblerone chocolate (she loves Toblerone) and two small Carré chocolates. I chose to buy her those things because she wanted a quality moisturizer that would last a long time, she uses perfumes a lot, so it couldn't be missing and well, she loves chocolate in general, those I bought her, she loves them, they are some of her favorites. I put everything in a nice golden gift bag to which I gave a touch by placing a silver topper that says "Happy day". My mom was very pleased with her gift, which made me feel happy.
