¡Feliz jueves! Espero que se encuentren de maravilla y estén teniendo una semana grandiosa, como ya saben se acerca San Valentín una de mis fechas favoritas para celebrar y ya que hoy es jueves me pareció la perfecta oportunidad de compartirles un poco sobre esas celebraciones en los años anteriores, todas muy diferentes pero especiales a su manera, aquí les cuento un poco.
¡Happy Thursday! I hope you are feeling great and you are having a great week, as you already know Valentine's Day is coming up, one of my favorite dates to celebrate and since today is Thursday it seemed like the perfect opportunity to share a little about those celebrations in the previous years, all very different but special in their own way, here I tell you a little.
A pesar de que llevamos casi 13 años de relación no todos esos años los hemos celebrado, nuestro primer San Valentin juntos fue en el 2013, cuando teníamos casi 3 años de relación, ese dia solo fui a su casa, sus padres hicieron pizza para la cena y nosotros compramos dulces y helado para comer durante la tarde sentados en el frente de su casa, por supuesto yo estaba muy feliz porque era la primera vez que pasaba esa fecha con mi novio y aunque no salimos ni tuvimos grandes planes la pasamos muy bien.
Although we have been in a relationship for almost 13 years, we have not celebrated all those years, our first Valentine's Day together was in 2013, when we were in a relationship for almost 3 years, that day I only went to his house, his parents They made pizza for dinner and we bought sweets and ice cream to eat during the afternoon sitting in front of their house, of course I was very happy because it was the first time I spent that date with my boyfriend and although we didn't go out or have big plans we had a great time.
A finales del 2014 comenzamos a vivir juntos y fue el San Valentin del 2015 cuando tuvimos nuestra primera celebración oficial de ese día, nuestro plan era simple pero lo más importante es que ya podíamos estar juntos sin ningún problema, al igual que la primera vez compramos varios dulces, refrescos, helados e hicimos palomitas de maíz de microondas y unos aros de cebolla y con todo eso nos pusimos a ver películas hasta la madrugada, aunque no parezca fue un buen plan porque ambos somos fanáticos de películas y series y ese es nuestro mayor pasatiempo.
At the end of 2014 we started living together and it was Valentine's Day 2015 when we had our first official celebration of that day, our plan was simple but the most important thing is that we could already be together without any problem, just like The first time we bought various sweets, soft drinks, ice cream and we made microwave popcorn and some onion rings and with all that we started watching movies until dawn, although it may not seem like a good plan because we are both fans of movies and series and that is our biggest hobby.
En el 2017 fue la siguiente celebración, ese año ya estábamos viviendo en la ciudad donde vivimos actualmente, ese año no pudimos celebrar mucho así que solo nos quedamos en casa comiendo helado y viendo películas, como las veces anteriores.
In 2017 it was the next celebration, that year we were already living in the city where we currently live, that year we couldn't celebrate much so we just stayed at home eating ice cream and watching movies, like the previous times.
En el 2019 es cuando decido hacer algo diferente y comenzar a celebrar esta fecha de una manera más especial, haciendo más cosas, saliendo de casa y haciendo algo diferente en lugar de estar siempre encerrados, ese año tuve la suerte de que me gané un concurso en Instagram y el premio era una torta de chocolate que por cierto estaba súper deliciosa, mi novio ese día también ganó un concurso y el premio eran 2 pizzas en forma de corazón, fuimos en la tarde por ese premio y luego nos fuimos a un centro comercial cercano a nuestra casa, luego de dar un breve paseo nos regresamos para recibir mi premio, el cual me llevaron hasta la puerta de la casa, compramos un refresco y compartimos la torta con todos en la casa, así que ese fue un buen San Valentín para todos.
In 2019 is when I decide to do something different and start celebrating this date in a more special way, doing more things, leaving home and doing something different instead of always being locked up, that year I was lucky that I won a contest on Instagram and the prize was a chocolate cake that by the way was super delicious, my boyfriend that day also won a contest and the prize was 2 heart-shaped pizzas, we went in the afternoon for that prize and then we went to a center commercial near our house, after taking a short walk we returned to receive my prize, which they took me to the door of the house, we bought a soda and shared the cake with everyone in the house, so that was a good Valentine's Day for everyone.
En el 2020 fue mucho mejor, ese año ambos volvimos a ganar premios en concursos de Instagram, el ganó una botella de vino, 2 copas, una rosa y una nutella de las grandes, mientras que yo gané una mini cake así que en cierto modo resolvimos nuestro San Valentin con esos buenos premios
In 2020 it was much better, that year we both won prizes in Instagram contests again, he won a bottle of wine, 2 glasses, a rose and a big nutella, while I won a mini cake so in a way We resolved our San Valentin with those good prizes
Además de eso ese año le hice a mi novio un pequeño detalle como regalo, decoré un huacal y le coloqué una cerveza y dulces, a partir de ese año fue que comencé a hacer este tipo de detalles y cada año intento hacer algo mejor que el anterior.
In addition to that, that year I gave my boyfriend a small detail as a gift, I decorated a huacal and I placed a beer and sweets on it, from that year on I began to do this type of detail and every year I try to do something better than the former.
Ya en la noche salimos a pasear al centro comercial que queda cerca de la casa, había un evento con música en vivo, allí nos quedamos por unas 2 horas y un amigo nos acompañó y nos llevó de regreso a la casa al terminar.
At night we went for a walk to the shopping center that is close to the house, there was an event with live music, we stayed there for about 2 hours and a friend accompanied us and took us back to the house when we finished.
En el años 2021 fue mucho mejor, ya que no solo tuvimos mejores planes sino que ese San Valentín ganamos muchísimos más premios que en los años anteriores, literalmente resolvimos la celebración de ese día a fuerza de premios y eran tantos que comimos hasta el cansancio, compartimos y hasta nos quedó para los siguientes 2 días y además de los premios yo también le hice un detalle a mi novio y en la noche salimos a comer en el centro comercial del que les vengo hablando desde hace rato, asi que mejor no pudo ser ese día.
In 2021 it was much better, since we not only had better plans but that Valentine's Day we won many more prizes than in previous years, we literally resolved the celebration of that day by dint of prizes and there were so many that we ate until exhaustion, we shared and we even had it for the next 2 days and in addition to the prizes I also did a detail for my boyfriend and at night we went out to eat at the mall that I have been talking about for a while, so It couldn't have been better that day.
A mi novio ese año le regalé un pequeño arreglo con dulces y un perfume, también un paquete de galletas en forma de corazón y una cajita de cupcakes decorados con temática de corazones, esa vez me esmeré mucho con el regalo porque para ser sincera no podía solo contar con los premios de los concursos porque no tenía ninguna garantía de que iba a ganar algo, pero después de todo resultó que si gané y no uno sino varios.
That year I gave my boyfriend a small arrangement with sweets and a perfume, also a package of heart-shaped cookies and a box of cupcakes decorated with a heart theme, that time I took great care with the gift because to be honest I couldn't only counting on the prizes from the contests because I had no guarantee that I would win something, but after all it turned out that I did win and not one but several.
Ese día me gané una mini cake, una cajita con dulces y un collar, es decir, gané 3 concursos después de que creí que no ganaría nada, ese mismo día fui a buscar mis premios y por suerte todos estaban muy cerca. Por otra parte mi novio se ganó una cajita con fresas decoradas, un premio muy lindo y delicioso que sirvió para complementar nuestra noche.
That day I won a mini cake, a box with sweets and a necklace, that is, I won 3 contests after I thought I would not win anything, that same day I went to get my prizes and luckily everyone was very close. On the other hand, my boyfriend won a box with decorated strawberries, a very nice and delicious prize that served to complement our night.
En la noche nos fuimos al centro comercial, dimos un paseo y estuvimos viendo las opciones para comer algo, estuvimos a punto de comer sushi pero al final nos decidimos mejor por comer pollo y hamburguesa, entramos al local y ordenamos, cuando estábamos por terminar de comer se acerca la encargada con un arreglo de dulces hermoso y nos dice “se lo ganaron porque son una bonita pareja”, imagínense que casi nos perdemos de eso si hubiéramos decidido ir a comer sushi, menos mal que no lo hicimos porque ese último premio terminó de alegrarme la noche, ese si fue completamente por sorpresa ya que no se trataba de un concurso, supongo que estábamos en el lugar correcto y en el momento correcto, así que muy felices nos fuimos a casa después de comer con ese gran premio.
At night we went to the mall, we took a walk and we were looking at the options to eat something, we were about to eat sushi but in the end we decided better to eat chicken and hamburger, we entered the place and ordered, when we were about to finish to eat, the manager comes over with a beautiful arrangement of sweets and tells us "they earned it because they are a beautiful couple", imagine that we almost missed that if we had decided to go eat sushi, luckily we didn't because that last prize It ended up making my night happy, that was completely by surprise since it was not a contest, I guess we were in the right place and at the right time, so we went home very happy after eating with that great prize.
El año pasado no pudimos celebrar San Valentin porque justamente el 14 de febrero llegaron los trabajadores y comenzaron a hacer la remodelación de nuestra cocina, eso implicó un gran desorden en toda la casa, todo sucio, lleno de polvo y cemento y la cocina destruida, la casa literal estaba patas arriba y todo comenzó ese día, el día anterior yo había hecho una decoración para tomarnos fotos, hice un corazón grande de globos en la pared y con todo lo del trabajo en la casa no tuve tiempo de quitarlos y los globos se llenaron de polvo y ni una foto nos pudimos tomar porque al igual que la casa nosotros también estábamos destruidos, al final solo exploté todos los globos y lo único que hicimos fue comprar una ración de torta 3 leches a una vecina que vende y cocinamos algo rico en medio de todo el desastre de la cocina pero celebración como tal no tuvimos así que espero que este año si pueda hacerlo.
Last year we could not celebrate San Valentin because precisely on February 14 the workers arrived and began to remodel our kitchen, that implied a great mess throughout the house, all dirty, full of dust and cement and the kitchen was destroyed, the house was literally turned upside down and it all started that day, the day before I had made a decoration to take pictures of us, I made a big heart of balloons on the wall and with all the work in the house I didn't have time to remove them and the balloons were filled with dust and we couldn't even take a photo because like the house we were also destroyed, in the end I just blew up all the balloons and all we did was buy a portion of 3 milk cake from a neighbor who sells and we cook something delicious in the midst of all the mess in the kitchen but we didn't have a celebration as such so I hope that this year I can do it.
