El día de hoy nos fue maravilloso amigos, nada planeado, surgió así sin más. 😁

Luego de salir de nuestra habitual reunión de los sábados en la mañana mi esposo y yo veníamos hablando con una pareja y decidimos comer juntos, lo cual nos calló como anillo al dedo pues ya se nos había acabado la carne.

Nuestro amigo cria conejos, entonces decidió darle muerte a una coneja a la que ya le había puesto el ojo, tiene varias conejas así que no fue de mucha importancia por así decirlo, además, esta estaba bastante grande.

Today was wonderful friends, nothing planned, it just happened like that. 😁

After leaving our usual meeting on Saturday mornings, my husband and I were talking with a couple and they wanted to eat together, which suited us like a glove because we had already run out of meat.

Our friend breeds rabbits, so he had to kill a rabbit that he had already had his eye on, he has several rabbits so it wasn't a big deal so to speak, besides, he was quite big.
To manage our nerves, my husband and I communicate openly about our plans, possible options, and jot down some budgets in a notebook.

In general, in addition to being nervous, I am also excited for this trip. I think it's best to bring things little by little and in advance so that we don't accumulate all the things just before leaving. I hope everything goes well with the help of our God.😊

Lo que también me sorprendió lo rápido que preparo nuestro amigo el conejo, ellos acostumbran inmovilizar al animal con un golpe en la cabeza y luego degollarlo para que se desangre. Ellos tienen una batea bastante grande donde ponen al conejo guindado por las patas para destilar su sangre. Luego de eso cortan una parte específica de la piel para retirarla de un jalón, se retira casi por completo. Después se procedió a picar.

Cabe destacar que es la primera vez que veo como se prepara un conejo, no quise ver cómo lo mató pero si pude tomar algunas fotos del procedimiento.

Mientras esto ocurría, mi esposo y yo fuimos a comprar algunos aliños y vegetales para la preparación.

They have a fairly large tray where they put the rabbit hanging by the legs to distil its blood. After that they cut a specific part of the skin to remove it with a pull, it is almost completely removed. Then they proceeded to chop it up.

It should be noted that it is the first time that I see how a rabbit is prepared, I did not want to see how he killed it but I was able to take some photos of the procedure.

While this was going on, my husband and I went shopping for some dressings and vegetables for the preparation.

Realmente me sorprendió lo rápido que lo hizo, es que ya lo han hecho varias veces, bueno, luego de eso pusieron a marinar con algunos condimentos y aliños, se dejó por una hora mas o menos y luego metió al horno a cocinar por un tiempo de poco más de una hora.

Lo acompañamos con arroz, tajadas y un buen vaso de refresco. Y porsupuesto, disfrutamos de una conversación muy amena con nuestros amigos.

Este fin de semana improvisado ha sido estupendo, estamos muy agradecidos porque nos puedan regalar estos bonitos momento que se convertirán en recuerdos entrañables cuando ya no estemos cerca, pero en nuestros corazones si lo estarán. ☺️☺️
