CES 2023 - Lenovo Showcase & Giveaway

It is another year, and to kick off the year is the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, where consumer technology manufacturers (OEMs/ODMs) feature their best and most innovative offerings for 2023. I will be covering as much as I can about this year's CES show, and for today, let's begin with what Lenovo has to offer.

New Ultrawide Monitor

The new Lenovo ThinkVision P49w-30 Monitor is a very good looking ultrawide monitor with a 49-inch colour rich display. It is curved and hopes to drive your productivity to new heights. I believe this would be a good companion for creative professionals and those that do a lot of productivity-focused jobs.


The New Ultrabook

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon 11th Gen ultrabook is a beast of a business machine that carries a lot of power in a lightweight build. It has an excellent 2.8K OLED display, and rocks the recent 13th Gen Intel EVO processors.


A Desk Assistant

Meet the Go Desk Station this time with a 4K camera. This is a simple light bar that offers a lot of features. On its base, there are a lot of port extensions, including some USB ports, HDMI ports, and some USB Type C ports. It also offers a wireless charging dock and a webcam. It could be all you need to transform your working desk into something more techy. According to Lenovo, it is a 5-in-1 working solution.


A Business Phone

Yea! Meet the Lenovo ThinkPhone by Motorola, an excellent Android smartphone repurposed for use in the business space. It is feature-packed, with some level of ingress protection. With a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor under the hood and Gorrilla glass Victus protecting the display, you can't go wrong with this one.


A Product for the Metaverse

This is something innovative that would find real use in the metaverse. Meet the Lenovo Project Chronos, which is a body tracker that can be used to fully track a person's movements in the virtual world. The unique thing about Project Chronos is that it is hands-free, unlike other options currently available.


How About an All-In-One PC

Meet the Lenovo Yoga 9i, an all-in-one PC that features an Intel i9 Gen CPU, an NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPU, and a unique design, paired with a 32-inch 4K display. It would definitely be a delight to use, as well as a delight to just stare at.


The Amazing 2-in-1, The Star of the Show

Here is the Lenovo Yoga Book 9i that combines two stunning OLED displays into one product. You can use it as a laptop or a workstation with two horizontally or vertically stacked displays. It's an incredible device that I'd love to try out.


A Smart Paper?

Ya, you heard right. Lenovo Smart Paper is an e-ink tablet that, according to the company, is the future of note-taking. It hopes to provide a traditional note-taking experience in a smart-device, making you feel like you are using a pen on a book. It is a 10.3 inch device that could be a nice companion for students, readers, and writers.


Let's Go Extreme

Here is a gargantuan Android tablet called the Lenovo Tab Extreme with a 14.5-inch 3K OLED display and a powerful Mediatek Dimensity 9000 System on Chip (SoC). It should probably come with a keyboard, trackpad, and pen in the box and cost about 1200 USD. It is a healthy competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8 Ultra and the 12+ inch iPad Pro.


How About a Gaming Book?

Meet the Lenovo Pro 7i an AI-tuned gaming laptop powered by the latest 13th Gen Intel Processors and a 40 series NVIDIA graphics card. Built with a massive cooling systems, and a massive 99 watt hour battery, it is every boys desire. '


Another Monitor - This Time Tuned for Gaming

Lenovo is going all out this year with another high refresh rate monitor, known as Lenovo Legion Y27qf-30 Monitor. It is a 27inch QHD display with almost perfect colour reproduction, making it excellent for creators and gamers alike.


Now a Super Tower

Here is a super warehouse for gaming and creative work known as Lenovo Legion Tower 7i. It is powered by the latest offerings by Intel and NVIDIA.


A Dock?

When I thought I was done, I discovered this: Lenovo ThinkBook Wireless Dock for Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Gen 2. It is a dock that contains a lot of ports and a wireless charging pad to help professionals keep their working space clean and tidy.


Magic Bay

These are a range of accessories Lenovo refers to as Lenovo Magic Bay Accessories. They include a fill light, an LTE modem and a webcam. It is designed to provide "an all new computing experience for professionals on the move".


The Slimmest

Meet the all new Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Gen 2 which according to Lenovo is the slimmest ThinkBook in their ThinkBook lineup, designed to provide ultra portability for users. It is powered by the Intel 13 Gen EVO CPUs, and is a business focused device.


Lenovo is Not Stopping

The Lenovo ThinkBook 16p Gen 4 is the device for which the Magic Bay accessories were primarily designed. It is an all new device with the latest and greatest technology built in including the latest Intel processors, and NVIDIA 4000 series GPU. It is a mobile beast.


Some Twisty Things

Here is the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist. It is a great notebook with a twist. Yea! You can literally twist the display to reveal another coloured e-ink display behind the primary display. Even with the laptop closed, the e-ink display behind it can be used for some activities. What a good twist!


Think About Your Vision

With the Lenovo ThinkVision T27hv-30 Monitor, Lenovo is on a mission to own the workplace. This is a Microsoft Teams-certified display that packs a bunch of extensions in it, with a wide array of USB ports, Ethernet and Audio jack. Some monitors are simply greater than others.


You Love the Mac Mini?

If you love the size of the Apple Mac Mini, you will be attracted to the Lenovo ThinkCentre neo 50q. With the latest from Intel running these machines, we expect performance similar to Mac Mini or even better. This is a powerful but simple tabletop machine.


Folding Machines

This isn't exactly new, but it is one of their recent impressive machines. Meet the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold a 16+ inch machine running Intel 12th Gen Processors and capable of folding its impressive and colour-rich OLED display.


That's All

Lenovo has built some impressive products for 2023, and I am impressed. I just hope to see who else has a better offering. We still have some other brands to visit, the likes of LG, Samsung, Sony, and more.
