En algunas zonas, en horas comunes, conseguir un taxi o tomar rápidamente el transporte público se vuelve un reto, y casi siempre cuando vamos de apuro el tráfico está de locos, así que terminamos llegando tarde a nuestro destino.
Esto fue uno de mis recientes retos en la nueva zona donde vivo. Dos días a la semana salgo con mi familia a nuestras reuniones religiosas y como es de esperarse, deseamos llegar temprano para poder compartir y disfrutar de la compañía. Pero aunque salíamos de casa hasta con una hora de antelación, tomar un taxi es una locura y en el transporte público gastamos más dinero. Justo a esa hora en la vía principal se hace un trancón de vehículos porque la carretera es muy angosta y hay muchas entradas y salidas de camiones en esa vía, sin contar que es una de las principales para ir a Bogotá.
Así que salir a tomar transporte se volvió un estrés para nosotros. ¡Hasta que te conocí, DiDi!, todo cambió. Sabía que existía esta aplicación, lo que no sabía era que estaba disponible en mi zona, pensaba que solo funcionaba en la capital. Mi esposo la descargo un día en su teléfono y quisimos probarla, y en medio del apuro por llegar temprano, en menos de 5 minutos ya teníamos un vehículo del servicio DiDi frente a nosotros, ¡ese día sí llegamos a tiempo!
Desde ese momento comenzamos a utilizar la app de DiDi desde nuestra casa. Cinco minutos antes de irnos solicitamos un vehículo para darle tiempo que llegue y al salir del apartamento ya está ahí un carro esperándonos, ¡qué comodidad que te busquen en la puerta de tu casa!
Hablemos de la Aplicación

La verdad es muy sencilla, con unos pequeños pasos puedes descargarla y utilizarla.
- Busca la app en la tienda Play Store con el nombre "DiDi Pasajeros".
- Instala la aplicación.
- Ingresa en la aplicación.
- Digita tu número de teléfono.
- Escribe el número de confirmación que te llegará en un mensaje de texto al número previamente registrado.
- Crea una contraseña segura.
- Verifica tu correo electrónico y datos.
- Recuerda activar tu ubicación para que puedan encontrarte más rápido.
Y listo... Ya puedes solicitar un vehículo.

Para solicitar el vehículo solo debes seguir unos sencillos pasos que te indica la aplicación.
- Escribe la dirección a la que deseas ir.
- Confirma el tipo de servicio que deseas y la tarifa.
- Espera mientras un vehículo confirma el viaje.
- Al confirmar el vehículo solo debes esperar el tiempo que te indica la app y ya estará el servicio en tu ubicación.

¿Qué hay de la seguridad?
La seguridad era algo que te preocupa, ya que una app no puede asegurarte la vida, pero algo interesante de esta app es que hasta cierto punto sé interesa por tu seguridad, aportándote de forma discreta la cantidad de datos permitidos, como el nombre del conductor y el número de identificación del vehículo.
Pero supongamos que te robaran el teléfono, esta app no solo te da la información mientras la tienes abierta, sino también envía esa información al correo electrónico, así que podrías más tarde revisar nuevamente los datos del conductor y del vehículo.
Por ese lado me tranquilizo, con respecto a la seguridad, pero además de eso, también puedo seguir toda la ruta de viaje desde mi teléfono y cerciorarme que el conductor no se desvíe de la ruta.
Los conductores utilizan una app similar llamada DiDi conductor, y me parece muy apropiada porque por los menos en los vehículos que he abordado llevan la app en altavoz, así que esta va indicando el camino y avisa a los pasajeros cuando están próximo al destino. Además, también te dan recordatorios como que pagues lo correspondiente a la tarifa y que no olvides ninguna de tus pertenencias al abandonar el vehículo, este tipo de recordatorios también dan tranquilidad en cuanto a la seguridad.
¿Y las tarifas?
La app te muestra la tarifa estipulada por el conductor, y aunque puede que algunas sean un poco mayor que la del servicio de taxis, en el caso de nuestra familia que somos 4, nos ahorramos más dinero que yéndonos en el transporte público.

Esta app DiDi, me ha encantado hasta ahora y me emociona saber que existen otras apps DiDi que te ofrecen otros servicios como el de comida a domicilio. Algunas debo esperar que estén disponibles en mi zona para poder utilizarlas.
Si no los has intentado, puedes probar si la app DiDi funciona cerca de tu casa y si las tarifas están accesibles para ti, puedes ahorrarte mucho estrés utilizando esta fácil y práctica app. Por mi parte, ¡ya no llego tarde!

I'm not late anymore! DiDi Passengers App
In some areas, at common hours, getting a cab or taking public transportation quickly becomes a challenge, and almost always when we are in a hurry the traffic is crazy, so we end up being late to our destination.
This was one of my recent challenges in the new area where I live. Two days a week I go out with my family to our religious meetings and as expected, we want to arrive early so we can share and enjoy the company. But even though we leave home up to an hour in advance, taking a cab is crazy and we spend more money on public transportation. Just at that time on the main road there is a traffic jam because the road is very narrow and there are many entrances and exits of trucks on that road, not to mention that it is one of the main roads to go to Bogota.
So going out to take transportation became a stress for us. Until I met you, DiDi, everything changed. I knew this app existed, what I didn't know was that it was available in my area, I thought it only worked in the capital. My husband downloaded it one day on his phone and we wanted to try it, and in the rush to get there early, in less than 5 minutes we had a DiDi service vehicle in front of us, that day we were on time!
From that moment on we started using the DiDi app from home. Five minutes before leaving we request a vehicle to give us time to arrive and when we leave the apartment there is already a car waiting for us, what a comfort to be picked up at the door of your house!
Let's talk about the Application

The truth is very simple, with a few small steps you can download and use it.
- Search for the app in the Play Store with the name "DiDi Passengers".
- Install the application.
- Login to the application.
- Enter your phone number.
- Enter the confirmation number that will arrive in a text message to the previously registered number.
- Create a secure password.
- Verify your email and data.
- Remember to activate your location so they can find you faster.
And that's it... You can now request a vehicle.

- Write the address where you want to go.
- Confirm the type of service you want and the fare.
- Wait while a vehicle confirms the trip.
- Once the vehicle is confirmed, you only have to wait the time indicated by the app and the service will be at your location.

What about security?
Safety was something you were worried about, since an app cannot ensure your life, but something interesting about this app is that to a certain extent it is interested in your safety, discreetly providing you with the amount of data allowed, such as the driver's name and the vehicle's identification number.
But suppose your phone is stolen, this app not only gives you the information while you have it open, but it also sends that information to email, so you could later check the driver and vehicle data again.
On that side I am reassured, security-wise, but in addition to that, I can also follow the entire travel route from my phone and make sure the driver does not deviate from the route.
Drivers use a similar app called DiDi driver, and I find it very appropriate because at least in the vehicles I have boarded they have the app on speakerphone, so it indicates the route and warns passengers when they are close to the destination. In addition, they also give you reminders such as to pay the fare and not to forget any of your belongings when leaving the vehicle, this type of reminders also give peace of mind in terms of security.
What about rates?
The app shows you the rate stipulated by the driver, and although some may be a little higher than the cab service, in the case of our family of 4, we saved more money than going by public transport.

This DiDi app, I have loved it so far and I am excited to know that there are other DiDi apps that offer other services such as food delivery. Some I have to wait for them to be available in my area before I can use them.
If you haven't tried them, you can test if the DiDi app works near your home and if the rates are affordable for you, you can save yourself a lot of stress by using this easy and convenient app. As for me, I'm not late anymore!
